DAMNNIT!

I just realised that in my mad rage deleting all the folders with game.exe in them that i deleted the folder with all of CPVS plotscripts in it (including the one for the 75+ backdrops for the starting movie!!) Is there ANY way I can get the scripts back!????

On a side note I FINALLY got game.exe to work by grabin a nightly. FB2 native seems to work very well.

are all the scripts imported into your game?

edit: http://www.hamsterrepublic.com/ohrrpgce/index.php/Add-ons.html

try the HS decompiler, if they are.

have you emptied your recycle bin? they might still be in there. past that.. if you haven't defragged yet, you can possibly get them back. or, if you imported them, you can get them back out and use tmc's decompiler.

Listen to the moogle, he is wise. I've had a loss of data that wasn't backed up kill a project once.

Back when I did scripting for NWN, someone asked me to write a very extensive random treasure generator for a module based on Eberron. Somewhere between 2000-3000 lines got written, but then my hard drive failed. The copy I had backed up was four weeks old, and was only a thousand lines. The project died shortly thereafter, since I also had the working copy of the module at the time.

Did you get it sorted out yet? I saw you on IRC, but I don't know if that was before or after this post.

The HS Decompiler has aged badly. OK, the truth is that it is coded badly and buggy. Recent additions to HamsterSpeak will also obsolete it, actually. I may try and fix up a new version sometime... if I had the latest code. Bad backups, ha. (In this case, too many lead to a confusion somewhere, I believe). Oh well, rewriting any of it will result in a better program.

Battleblaze, email me the HSP file and I'll try to decompile it for you.
