M'kay here we go~
This drawing is a girl I named Serim, I made a mistake with her neck please excuse that and please excuse that fact that it is on lined paper, I did it during math class and this is all I had.
This next picture is of a bat ... person... I have no idea I named in Marlin, Why? We may never know but I thought he was cute so HA!
Okay this picture is... um... hm, he's evil in anycase I guess he's a bad guy for the novel I'm writing... interesting. Oh well I'll call him Coramil thats sound strange. Yes that's his name *shifty eyes*
Okay this last one is more of a fan pic, sorry to all you people who hate fan girls but I have to say I love Edward Elric *hearts all over the place* Anyways here you go. _________________

You aren't the only Edward Elric fangirl here. Hehe.
Out of the other three drawings, I think the 2nd one is my favorite. The bat's face (mostly his eyes and the way they are drawn) reminds me of the cat in the movie "Kiki's delivery service".
P.S. If you have more Edward Elric fanart, I would be happy to look stare at it. _________________ "There will always be people who will tell you they hate what you made, or like what you made, and will tell you that what you did was wrong or right."

Your detail is incredible and you have good shading and coloring. However, your figures need work: your drawings all lean to the right as if they're about to fall over and Serim looks like her neck is broken (is this the problem with the neck you were referring to?).
These are good. Keep 'em coming. _________________

Are you left handed, by any chance? I know a lot of left handed people who write and draw like that, so their hand doesn't smear on the paper. |

"Gay" and "homo" are perfectly acceptable terms. If you read that as "fag," the bigotry is on your part, PHC. _________________ My art (and random photos)! |

Well we dont all have to be so politically correct.
All the drawings had some sense of warped proportion. I think you really have to work on that. The first girl has really bad arms also, mostly lacking curves and coming off a bit manly. Also, since you copied the sig pic, isn't that still kind of bad, according to your logic? Oh my, copying is for homos! |

Your style is pretty advanced Snow. But you freehand anatomy needs work, judging by the first pic anyway. The job on Ed was/is top notch. But its preety good overall M'kay. _________________ Indy OHR! and National OHR Month Contest going on now!

"Black people" is an acceptable phrase (to most people at least), but if I said "Tracing is for black people," that is pretty definitely bigoted. Usage matters just as much as wording.
Anyway, I like the second and fourth drawings. The second one has an interesting design and the fourth, while copied, still shows a good understanding of linework and shading. The third is also interesting, but seems a little cluttered. _________________ Locked

Ignoring the whole off-topic "political correctness" dispute, I have something to say about tracing.
Tracing isn't a good way to produce art.
Tracing is a fantastic way to improve your artistic skill.
If you have a hard time drawing, tracing the work of an artist you like is a good way to practice the artist's style. Painting students often paint reproductions of the works of the masters for the very same reason. Tracing is like training wheels. no you aren't "cool" while you are doing it, but it gives you that extra learning advantage that may help you to get riding (drawing) on your own better and sooner. |
