edit: I miscalculated big time here, sorry people
Iris Vs Feather by Uncommon!!!!!!
Here it is again folks, a winner with a whopping 11 votes.
2nd place goes to Cassandra by rpgspotkale with 8 votes(it was a tie between Marlian, and I voted for Cassandra as a tiebreaker.
and 3rd place goes to Marlian by Rim with 7 votes.
Thank you for participating, and good luck next year.
Special mentions goes to Sasha, Zela, Marlian, Dominque, and Cassandra. In my opinion, you guys did really good job, and I can see the amount of work you put in creating those pictures. Iris Vs Feather also gets my special vote, but I wish it had more color to it.
Onlyoneinall: I like your style of drawing man, keep up the good work. _________________ Try my OHR exporter/importer.

It seems like you're counting all votes evenly, regardless of place. Six voters voted for Barbara, which should at least make it even with Hippo (but I only counted five votes for Hippo, but then I just did a quick scan of the thread).
Your processes are questionable. _________________

Yes I counted all the votes evenly, is that a problem? _________________ Try my OHR exporter/importer.

Why did we have to put them into place then? Why didn't we just "Pick Three Entries?" By requesting we put them into some kind of order of favorites, it implied that said preference would be weighed into the counting of votes. I have yet to count myself, but it would seem this voting system was purposely left vague and hazy, so that you could more easily pick a voting system which would give you the winner YOU wanted. You might just as easily have said "Okay, everyone who got a vote is disqualifed!" or somesuch. For further contests, please fully explain HOW the winner is to be determined before determining such.
EDIT: Quote: | Here is what I want you to do, pick 3 entries and put them in order from favorite to least favorite. |
Tell me, why did we bother ordering them? Highly suspicious.

You're ignoring the larger issue here, namely that Barbara should at least tie with Hippo. _________________

I went through the thread, and picked out the actual votes, and marked down whether it was voted first, second, or third. I'm omitting all the entries that didn't get a vote, for clarity's sake.
The number in parenthesis is what the score would be, using the most logical system I can think of. (By definition, this isn't what Ysoft would've ever chosen) The system goes: First = 3 points, Second = 2 points, third = 1 point system. In brackets, is the system Ysoft was using, how many votes total, with no points for preference.
Marlian Rimudora 233122 (11) [6]
Girlaw PHC 232123 (11) [6]
Zela Hatzi 1 (3) [1]
Jenny Jack 1 (3) [1]
Hippo Joe Man 311231 (13) [6]
Ms. Sarah Kokoro by PHC 3 (1) [1]
Barbara Moogle1 121221 (15) [6]
Sasha Adrianx 3 (1) [1]
Ogrette JoeMan 2332 (6) [4]
Entry Uncommon 2311231121332 (27) [13]
Magic Pig's Daughter Gizmog 3 (1) [1]
Dominque RPGSpotkale 212 (7) [3]
Rachel Sparrowhawk 2 (2) [1]
Cassandra Kale 121233 (12) [6]
Nep's Entry 3331311 (13) [7]
By Ysoft's system, there'd be Uncy in first place, Nep Second (Had he not withdrawn) and a pretty big tie for 2nd, which by Ysoft's tiebreaker rules means his decision. I don't know how he had Cassandra as having 8 votes, unless he broke his own rule of ignoring all entries per vote except the first one, or I miscounted. |

And taking into account the fact that people voted for some of the entries entirely out of spite or ignorance, I should've at least fallen into third place. |

hey hey, how I count votes is entirely up to me you know.
Yes I asked you to pick from favorite to least favorite, and I was planning on counting the first place second and third by the order of favorites, but then it would be really bad. Second place would recieve more votes then 1st, and that wasn't cool with me. So I did the only reasonable thing, and that is count each vote evenly. _________________ Try my OHR exporter/importer.

so how do you justify that 2 extra points that were given to cassandra? _________________

Cassandra had 7 points to begin with, and it was tied between Marlian, so I gave Cas my vote, and placed Marlian into 3rd. and yes, hippo and barbara were tied with 6 votes.
edit: hm... maybe I will follow Gizmog1's advice and have point system next year. I haven't thought of that this year so thats why I don't use it. but next year, this is going to how I count votes. Thanks Giz for the suggestion. _________________ Try my OHR exporter/importer.
