The ears are at basically the exact right position. Ears go from the top of the eyes to the bottom of the nose.

I know he looks a bit like Goku(well almost) I took some ideas from a tutorial on howtodrawmanga.net or something like that.
So what do you think?

Heh, I think it is fine. I made to be little bit farther away from the ear points. I think thats how all dragon ball z characters are.
A little correction, it is as large as his face, not an entire head.
here an example(not my image).

I just think he needs more face than hair. It almost looks like you drew the hair then kinda slapped a face on. He just needs more chin...unless he's one of those orund face kidna guys.

| I think y ou're definitely improving. So much in fact, that you can finally ditch the dbz-esque style now! Just avoid it 100%. You said you wanted to get the basics down, well you have. So go learn to create your own style, and not some bullshit generic dragoncrap which looks aweful. |

Well, I was just trying to see how that style would look like when I draw it myself, I am somewhat satisfied with the result. I am gonna try a non-dbz style next.
