I'm in search for a veteran OHR game designer in creating a new OHR game.
I have a newly written story about a group of four ordinary people who became the guardians of a world they never knew existed. It is some kind of story about friendship, betrayal, courage and faith.
For more info, please let me know. I will explain the details of the story
to anyone interested in this post. Thanky-thanks. _________________ St. SeiyaRyu

Congradulations, you ave joined the millions of gamers who has written the basic outline of a story about four ordinary people who miraculously achieve greatness. Now you must feel great now that you have conquered all art of all mediums with your feat, and your ambitions are guiding you to a momentous success. However, this may be a little more daunting than you realise, so you'll have to think a few things over first:
1. Is an OHR game designer what you need? Currently there are only two or three and they are all difficult to aquire. Don't let your ambitions nature be held back; if an OHR game designer you want an OHR game designer you need and an OHR game designer you shall get, but at a price. Try turning to the amatuers of the community such as Shadow or JSH. If you try hard enough, you may even get one to not only design but make your game, though that is not entirely reccomended as they may soil your art with their simple and inferior nature.
2. Are four ordinary heroes and four ordinary elements enough to modivate the simpleton? In you superior dominance over the common man, you may percieve this as irrelevant, but commercial art, as the name implies, must be marketable.
3. Many low-lifes have interest in this post but only in spiteful mocking and jealous intentions. Will these fiends see for themselves your work or will they be rejected for the dastards they are?
4. Thanky-thanks????
But in all seriousness, if all you want is someone to guide you in the design, I'm sure someone will help, but you'll be on your own for text, graphics, maps, battles, &c. unless you need help in which case you can always come to the forums (music is an exception and can usually be easily ripped without trouble). Tell me the story and I may volunteer to do a bit of design work (puzzles, battle systems, maybe some maps) but I will not make the game for you. Nobody else will either I can promise you. _________________ "Everyone has 200,000 bad drawings in them, the sooner you get them out the better."

You people are idiots if you don't realize this is a gimmick account.
Also, Joe_man, who exactly are you to call me an amateur? No offense or anything. |

Thanky-thanks? It's my jovial way of saying "Thank you!"
I appreciate your concerns regarding to the previous post. I know it's hard to find a trustful partner in a situation like this. Worry not, I know what to do. And I know who'll I trust or not.
Anyway, thanky-thanks ( not again... ) for volunteering to help. Truthfully speaking, I'm not going to create a new game. I just want to contribute a story to any trustworthy OHR game designer. I just want to share thoughts and experiences to help others here and out. _________________ St. SeiyaRyu

About the story:
Quote: | Lance, Nea, Corth and Darell, the four main characters from the real modern world were summoned by a divine-looking lady... |
Three things:
1) This sort of thing should be discussed between you and whoever is interested in helping you, not revealed to the whole community. My first advice would be to remove it from the board.
2) The story, itself, looks like it needs a whole lot of work. Also, though I'm not one to usually say so, it looks way too cliche in its current state.
3) You need to be more specific on what you're asking for. Do you need help with graphics? Level design? Character/Monster design? Someone to help maybe with plotscripting and cutscenes? A writer? State what it is, specifically, that you are looking for. By merely saying "game designer" I fall under the impression that you've created a story that you want someone else to make a game for. |

Amateur:
A person who engages in an art, science, study, or athletic activity as a pastime rather than as a profession. _________________ "Everyone has 200,000 bad drawings in them, the sooner you get them out the better."

Or if you go to Wikipedia:
Quote: | The word amateur has at least two connotations. In the first, more widely used manner, it means someone performing some task without pay, in contrast to a "professional" who would be paid for the same task. In this sense, labeling someone an "amateur" can have a negative connotation. For example, amateur athletes in sports such as basketball or football would not be regarded as having ability on par with professional athletes in those sports. |
Usually when dealing with something that you're obviously not getting paid for (such as making an OHR game), one would be inclined to assume the second connotation is implied. That was my interpretation, anyway. |
