When I draw the tileset, I would like to copy a part of a part of a tileset. I explain myself.

Let's say that I've drawn a tree. I would like to select only the pixels that represents the trunk and then make a copy and place them where I want.

By doing, I wouldn't have to draw the trunk from the beginning.

Is there a way to do that using shortcuts?
Please note that I already use CtrlC Crtl V and it's not what I'm searching for.

Thanks in advance for the help!

no, there's no way to select a specific part of a tile. Just try making whatever part you want to copy first, re-paste that.

Copy and paste the tree into a new tile.
Erase/black out everything else in the new tile you have made besides the trunk.

Use Ctrl + C to copy the new tile
Use Ctrl + T to paste the trunk only.

Ctrl + T is the same as Pasting, but it doesn't paste blank space, so you can paste any section of a tile with this command. It also works with hero graphics, enemy graphics, attacks, etc. Very useful.

When doing what JSH just described, make sure you're using color 0 specifically, the black in the top left corner, not just any black in the palette.

It's new to Tirgoviste, I believe. Apparently it was inspired by a graphics utility I made a very long time ago. The OHR editor has needed that feature for a long time.

The documentation for that was supposed to go here, we just haven't gotten around to writing it yet ;)

By the way, this really doesn't belong in the Art forum.

You should start a new thread if you have a whole new question.

But I am pretty sure that PalEdit can do that.... *tests* .... Hmmm. It is supposed to be possible to do:

Code:
paledit.exe input.mas output.bmp

to convert your OHR master palette into a BMP... except When I try that, I get a small black BMP with the word "PAL" in white letters. Very odd :(

Geez, can't we add the feature to export master palette to bmp file, inside of custom.exe?
