The new MADSOFT website is now open, check it out!
www.madsoft.moonfruit.com
It's not fully complete, so not all features are there yet, but it's pretty good plus there are message boards, don't be scared to post... |

Ditto PHC's post. The primary purpose of having a site about your games is to have a place where people can download them, and secondarily a place to make people want to download them. This is kind of bizarre in comparison. _________________ Tower Defense Game |

By the end of next week, all the games, info and other features will be available, OK?
Also, I made the "MADSOFT Forums" now available, those are real forums, not like the "Message Boards"... |

PHC's comments may seem blunt and harsh, but you should consider them for the wiser. Also, self reviewing your game is extremely biased and lacks the ability to truly grade the game, just as a warning. It is a mistake to self-review a game if you can't see its flaws. _________________ http://www.castleparadox.com/gamelist-display.php?game=750 Bloodlust Demo 1.00

Ok, so what you guys are saying is, I should empty the "reviews" page and put a box for others to review my games for me. Ok, no problem...
And in the forums, It's the program that puts madsoft everywhere, not me... and you r saying that I should delete the sub forums and put a "What forums would you like having here?" forum under each category.
Sounds good, I'll fix all that within this week.
Also, I'll remove the calendar, and change the "Message Boards" to "Blogs" and about the ads, no, I can't move them.
And also, about the content, it's not my fault I'm using my friends PC and all my content is in mine which is still in lebanon, which is now probably blown up after the damn war, I got evacuated and I could only manage to get clothes. Which is why I have to redo everything again!
Are you happy now "PHC" ?!
And thanks for the advice Rinku and onlyoneinall. |

Okay, now we're just making excuses. Don't get so worked up just because PHC said what he said. Your reaction to his comments is starting to show that you are probably immature and/or 16 and under. Chill out and get more people's opinions before losing your head over just one person's. The site isn't bad, but it really should've had more content before you decided to publicly announce it and "release" it to the public. This is also true for OHR games. _________________ http://www.castleparadox.com/gamelist-display.php?game=750 Bloodlust Demo 1.00

Also, you should try not to get so worked up when someone says something negative, they may be trying to make a point about something that will actually help you. |

I highly agree with PHC on the content.
I think that the overall design is pretty sound and decent. It's kind of sucks that the ads have to be so prevalent throughout the website, but I guess that's what you have to deal with when you get a free website.
One thing I will say, your updates should be placed in order of newest first. It would be really annoying to have to scroll through 30 other news updates to get to the new one.
I don't like your music page. It automatically starts playing the music, and it won't stop until you go back to the page and press stop. That's very annoying when you don't know what's going on (almost as annoying as that one banner ad with the shoot the mosquito thing that has no sound off function.)
I think that you shouldn't even have a review section. It seems odd that you would ask people to review the site on the site. I think that it would be better for comments to be left from public eye.
Now, I saw what you had before. There's nothing wrong with a little description of your game, but you shouldn't give it the misleading title of "review" That would go well with your downloads, just giving a little teaser synopsis of the game before the person downloads it.
I don't really understand how blogs in general work, so I'll just leave that alone.
I wouldn't put up the poll until you've shown the work (but also then, I feel that a poll on this type of site is a little odd.)
Overall, I think this site is kind of in the working stages until the games get put on it, but it's definitely a start. _________________ Calehay |

I'd also like to point out that this type of simple site design shouldn't be in flash format. In fact, I don't think any site should be dedicated in the flash format. But that's going on a tangent.
Having flash blocked, I had to manually enable it to view the site. For such a place with little content, and sparse effects, you can save people by just using simplistic javascripting.
edit: Looking at the "site builder" of your host, it appears they're making all their templates in flash. This is not a good indication for the internet. |

Get a job, hippie. Also, you're using a free web host, and aren't doing anything that will make money. |
Surely, he needs quick cash to support his hectic life of sk8ing. |
