Just wanted to get some feedback on some concepts for a project I'm working on with a friend.

Basically, we're planning to go into game design professionally, after college. We've been working out a world for an MMO for a few years now, and have decided to take a break from the tedium of developing plans for governments, economies, seasons, etc...and want to get a decent game made from what we already have.

Yeah...blah, blah, blah. I don't want to bore you. XP

"Chronicles of Draconia: Disciples of Darkness" (Working Title).

--Characters--

Knight
The human knight is one of the 6 selectable race/class combinations at the beginning of the game.

--NPCs--

God of Death
The god of death is the central figure and effective 'leader' of the dark gods. His sword is made from dragon bone and crystalized souls of fallen heroes.

God of Order
This is the first "bulky"character I've ever really drawn...not quite sure what to think of it yet.

Dark Servant
A servant to the dark gods. His collar and bands have chain links that burden him greatly whenever he displeases the gods.

--Others--
Not quite sure yet
Not really sure what to do with this one...I was going to do the goddess of hate, but she came out looking more like a cleric...take away the staff and give her a dagger, and she'd make a good assassin character...>.> I'm just not sure what she is, yet.

P.S. Any similarities in names to anything else, is purely coincidental.

P.P.S. I might also have to mention that "Necro_EX" is another username I use on the internet...

P.P.P.S. It's been a while since I've updated this post...some of the inner workings of the game have been changed around. I don't think I'll be going with a character selection at the beginning, so I can work more on the story.

I don't know if you copied that or something or if you are familiar with doing proportions, but the only problem I can see is he is missing ears. It looks very strange that you cannot see his ears, considering his hairstyle. If that is a helmet of some sort, you will have to make it look more like one since it looks like hair.

Hmm... Reminds me of Vash the Stampeda and Link for some reason.

Oookay... I guess I'm too used to doing long hair...I forgot his ears. >.<

Thanks for the feedback. ^^

Off to make some more.

EDIT: Yeah, it's hair. I'm not much of a helmet person.

I was trying to stray away from the cliche death-like-things. Any suggestions to make him more deathish?

I'm thinking of doing armor (only worn during battle, most likely conjured) from dragon bones or some such.

The God of Death is kind of "meh".

Personally, I would expect the God of Death to be a little more...masculine.

When I first saw your picture, I kind of thought it was a girl at first.

The giant broad-sword is a nice tough; however, the character himself looks like one of those Emo-Death-Cult-Elves.

I would find it hard to imagine that this could possibly be the leader of all of the world's evils.

You have some really nice art Necro, but it just seems a little out of place.

For a game where non-cliche death-like-things are not easily recognizeable, I suggest you base things on cliches. In fact, I don't really think I've seen too many Gods of Death. Herm...

I understand what you're saying (Well, that last bit about non-cliche things needing to be based on cliche kind of lost me. XP) but, when I think of death I think of something more lithe than masculine. Kind of like Testament from Guilty Gear.

Chaos, on the other hand, will have a bit of a more cliche evil look about him.

I have a few more that i'm working on, and should be able to post at least one by the end of the day.

The cleric looks okay, but the legs seem a bit misproportioned. (Misproportioned... Did I spell that right?)

Don't turn it into a big walking cliche.

Yeah, it's all right to ignore my mindless babbling every once in a while. Neutral

One idea I've always had for a God of Death, or at least Apprentice of Death, was a creepy-looking kid who floats around with psychic powers. It sounds stupid, but seriously, when you think about it, what's scarier than a decrepit floating child?
