|
|
I've been sick the last couple of days and had forgotten about it. The rules would be the same as last year, which is to say the contest would start 7 hours ago, and go until Midnight, on November 1st, so as not to ruin any Halloween activities. Games would be judged by anyone who played them all on originality, scariness, and fun.
No themes, no files to download, just make a scary game, post the link here, and maybe you'll win!
And the prize, you ask? A special badge for the highest scoring entry in each category, to be put in your sig, and shown off to everybody!
Let's take a look at dem badges right now:
The scariest game designer will receive:
The most original game designer will receive:
And the designer of the game that is most fun will get:
I might even do something special for the overall winner (But don't get your hopes up too high) |

Hm. I guess not, but just so long as any of us can play it legally. |

I think I'll dust off one of my older projects for this one. Something about zombies. Zombies are cool. |

...hm. I had no intention of entering this, but then you reminded me of my concept about a zombie and his ghost (a ghost and his corpse? something).
I still probably won't enter, but if I do, it'll be with that. _________________

I have been planning to release Bloodlust around Halloween time, the 25% or so demo of it... but at the rate I'm going with work and school, I don't know. Still, I do plan on participating with my game. _________________ http://www.castleparadox.com/gamelist-display.php?game=750 Bloodlust Demo 1.00

Not likely, though I suppose it's not impossible.
To elaborate, I have had awful luck with help on the game. If I got a dedicated graphic artist who could produce tiles at the level I was getting from djfenix and Mr B, then I would finish the game, Halloween or not. I'd love this, personally, because I was unknowingly designing SOTN before I had ever played the game and it's now a personal favorite.
I don't believe I could make the game without an equally talented tilist, though, and it's a tough bill to fit. See http://ohrweekly.castleparadox.com/sg3.htm for some sample screenshots. If anyone out there is willing to contribute a few good tilesets, I believe I could muster the time, energy, and morale to finish the game (but probably not in time for Halloween, unless a miracle happened). _________________

I'm in...
and I hope that this will not be like last year (only Leroy and I managed to submit entries)..
I think I'll just get my game's story from my old laptop... _________________ The man who smiles when things go wrong has thought of someone to blame it on.

I know I said I'd make a zombie game, but screw that. I'm making a Halloween-themed game. You collect candy and crap like that.
Those smilies are gonna look good on my signature. |

I wanted to do a side project for this contest specifically. If there's a decent crowd, I'd love to be in it. |
