Close to absolutely no one here is talking about their projects, so I'd like to get some responses from everyone about what they're currently working on.

I'm working on a game in which a ninja has to chase a rogue ninja, who stole all of the village's secret scrolls, into the Wild West!
This game will rename MagicPoints into CHAKRA!
And HealthPoints will be called STAMINA!
And all your magic attacks will be called JUTSUS!
Isn't that just clever?!

Anyhows, what occupies your time these days?

I am working on a game that is trying to offer a new strategy in RPG battles, and whose storyline theme shares likeness to exploring an unfamiliar world, such as Star Ocean, Final Fantasy X, or even Zelda: Link's Awakening.

I wanted to call my HP stat "Achipi", my MP stat "Empi", and my GP stat "Jipi", but I felt that scheme would be too confusing and would blend in too much with the other stat names.

I think "JUTSU" would look far better than "JUTSUS", because I don't think 'Ninja' and 'Jutsu' have s' at the end of their plural forms.

I also think 'STAMINA' is a fallacy. Ninjas are powered by AWESOME, so you should rename your HP stat to 'AWESOME'.

Yes...that would be a tad bit confusing, seeing as they have no resemblence to the original stats.
Imagine a sub-titled battle scenario:

"You use 5 Empi to cast Razor Wind"
"Razor Wind takes 9 Achipi from the foe."
"Foe dies."
"You obtain 24 Jipi."

Just out of curiosity, but how did you arrive at such odd names?

GOOD CATCH!

However, I am sorry to say that I will keep my plural forms of Ninja and Jutsu, thank you very much.

Sound them out. There is a connection.

Achipi, Empi, Jipi? I really like that idea. I'm going to steal it.

I didn't get them at first, as I was pronouncing the achipi with a short 'a' and 'jipi' with a short 'i'.

I just got finished with another update to my old game Hero's Journey, now renamed as Tales of the New World I. I had been working on it pretty often the last few weeks, but now I'm taking a little break. I've been looking for OHR RPGs to play (to give myself a little break from making); I just finished Minnek's Partisan Legacy I today. I can't say that I was a huge fan. And this brings me to your naming schemes: I do not think that it is a good idea to have foreign names for things in a game unless you have a description. ESPECIALLY if the battle menus do not pause battle. I guess this is not what you guys were doing necessarily, but I thought I'd mention it.

PS: Does anyone know if Minnek still comes around, or if he would like another review?

Projects? Heh, I hardly have the time anymore. Anyway, I haven't used OHR in a good long time now.

Right now, I'm trying to score Orchard's new project while I'm trying to work on my character design palette for Flash, while at the same time trying to help my friend James in setting up his production company that he just freshly got his LLC license set up through the government; all of that, plus a full-time semester with part time working, so it doesn't leave much time for dilly-dally.

Achipi, Empi, Jipi... I could even take that further, like, call HP Aycheeayellteeaych (HEALTH), and MP Emayenay (MANA), and GP Jeeoheldee (GOLD). That would be so retarded, yet so cool at the same time.

Anyhow, what project am I working on right now? A horror game called They Hunger. If you haven't read the journal yet, it's a game about some pot-smoking teens whose car breaks down in front of a creepy old castle. They are subsequently chased inside by evil monsters, and then the story goes on from there. I hope that this game will actually become the first game I've ever started, and then completed.

I haven't released a game--even a crappy one--for a long long time... the last game I released was Nightmarish, and that one is still unfinished.
I'm currently have some publicity shots and some tentative maptiles of my new untitled game, which would be a combination of the RPG elements and the usual puzzle-solving elements. I hope this one won't find itself in the recycle bin like the others.

I'm very slowly working on a very generic game which will probably not be finished for a long time. I keep thinking of things to add to it, or things that will make it unique, but then forget them again. Crying
If only I wasn't so lazy I'd work on it more.
