It had to happen eventually.

I am holding a contest, which will last from now until December 10th. A month should be plenty of time. For five days afterwards people will be able to vote for the games they think should win in one of various categories.

I am not expecting this contest to be the most popular thing ever, for two reasons. 1) Game contests rarely have great turnouts and 2) this is Valigarmander we're talking about. But I figured I might as well hold a contest now, nobody else is doing one, I've been a part of the community for a while now, and I'm not entirely despised.

Anywho, the rules. The games can be whatever you like, as long as they revolve around one or more of the members of Castle Paradox or the OHR community. Hence the name, "community chest."

Now the categories. There will probably only be two or three entries, but I'm making categories anyways.

Dude I'm in. Now I have more n like a weeks timeframe....Maybe I'll jjst update CPVS, i mean damn that's what the whole fuzkin game is about....naw that's no fair I'll start from scratch.

Wow, that's a lot more replies than I thought there'd be. OK, I have some good news and some bad news.

The good (sort of) news is that I may release a game for this contest. This is unlikely, however, since I'm tied up with both They Hunger and another secret project of mine. But I might. Just give you all something to look forward to.

The bad news is that the prizes (the smilies) I had planned to place on the winners' sidebars, but I just realized I have no idea how to do that. Maybe someone smart can do it for me.

[Edit: Ah, after reading some posts in a seperate thread I figured out what I'm supposed to do. You can just place the smilies in your sig, but if you really want it on your sidebar I can take it up with the big man and see if it's okay. So, yeah.]

Okay, the contest is nearing its end, and it seems as though I have few participants. Oh well, I wasn't really expecting much of a turnout. I guess I'll just hand out the smilies to poor people.
