Nice job on your drum use, that's probably the star of the piece. When it switches, it's hardly another song, but what you did was still great. Dynamic music is the best, in my opinion, and the rpg format tends to rape dynamic music, unless you find interesting ways to loop it. Another use for transitions, if you like the idea of having different parts to an rpg song. Prevents boredom and annoyance, I say.
You can keep at it, if you want. As I said in the original post, you can write as many songs as you wish. _________________ SACRE BLEU!

well I've got this hardcoded rpg going on, and we're gonna use midi songs... the fun tweak is that it will not change during battle, so one song per level whatever happens. It could do with long transitions I guess, but I'm not too sure. I'll see what I can do bout that...
And ya, I wasn't too sure it REALLY switched song... but it switched mood sorta so I was content with it |

| I'm not sure how this is a contest. Your competition is..yourself? And do you mean transition between two different genres? I can't imagine how transitioning midi songs to be any challenge, as it's can be as simple as a scale modulation. Transitioning a classicalal song with electronica would be more of a challenge. |

I think it's a semi-contest like... maybe there's a winner in the end, but he wins nothing. The whole idea is the process of actually doing something on purpose (even though artificially generated). Braodening musical horizons seems to be the idea here. And um, my transition was meant to be from orchestral to something more electronic. But maybe it doesn't show that much? |

Well, yes, but just doing something like just changing the key is boring. I think the point of this is to flex your creative muscle and find ways to make an interesting transition. _________________ Calehay |
