I know how to make a palet for walk about pictures. But you know how if you draw something with one palet then switch to another, it all becomes wierd colors? Well, it's acting as if I never made a new palet and I used the mast one to draw it. How can I stop it from doing this?

This sounds suspiciously like a bug. Can you post screen shots or anything helping to describe your problem?

Are you using the old stable release hasta-la-qb+? or are you using a nightly wip build? If you are using a nightly wip build, please re-download and try again. yesterday I checked in a fix for '' . bug_title('267') . '' which can cause your new palettes to vanish.

I'll try screen shots. I'll edit this post with added screen shots. As for James, I have no Idea what you're tlaking about but I think I might (confusing and a half). I think I'm using that hast thing. I recently downloaded it like a month ago. I'm not completely sure but I think it's hasta.

This looks like a false alarm.

It seems like he's not using the newest nightly, which automatically gives each sprite set a default palette.

In the previous versions, all sprites were shown in the sprite menu under the first palette; hence the unnaturalization of their colors.

[edit]Another possibility is that he is using a nightly, but is experiencing the bug where you finish changing a sprite's palette, but upon going to the next sprite, the palette simply vanishes. Forcing you to recreate the palette, exit the sprite editor, and then return to create the new palette for the second sprite.

I ran my custom.exe and there was a thing that said something like "hasta-la-qb+" and then the numbers 20060803 came after. Do I need to update or something?

Yes. Get the latest nightly and overwrite your OHRRPGCE folder with it.

Yes I know the graphics suck but this is only the demo of the game. I'm working on the full version. I can zoom it but that doest seem necisary since we figured the problem. Thanks for all your help.

If that guy in the center is supposed to be the hero, then you have to specify which palette he should have in the HERO STATS menu.

The nightlies show you what the sprites look like in the palettes they were most recently edited under.

If you want to play it in the map, go into a map's bitset menu and change the [-ambient music-] to whatever song you want to be played.

The OHRRPGCE isn't a mind-reading program.
You have to tell it what to do.

I had this problem as well. It went away after the nightly updated a few times, so I'm not sure if it was a bug or a hardware incompatibility problem or even just a freak occurence.

What you can do is try to download the OHRRPGCE with a different backend from here:

http://hamsterrepublic.com/ohrrpgce/nightly/

This may solve your problem.
