Which one of these is it that I could get better game results from.

Which do you think I would be better off using?

*When the new creating engin is released, will I be able to still work on a game I am currently working on the new version. And if I transfer to using a nightly, will I have to start my whole game creation over, or can I continue from where i left off?

Right now, it's a bit of a mixed bag.

New experimental things such as layers and sound effects could alter the way that you've been working, so it would seem like the obvious choice would to be to work with the nightly.

However, remember that the nightlies have a stronger possibility of running into bugs than the stable version.

So I guess, if you want to start working with layers, mp3 music, and sound effects, get a nightly and make sure that you back up your work often. If you don't really want that all too much, stick with hasta-la-qb+.

You should be able to continue from your old creation file when Uberzetsung is released.

I wouldn't recommend Hasta-la-QB+ without a backend. Lack of native Windows and Linux support is a bug on its own (because it is always a pain to get DOS programs working perfectly in a 32-bit environment, and being able to run on Linux is never a bad thing.)

Nightlies are pretty much beta testing opportunities as well. When you run into a bug, you can report it to Bugzilla so they can look at it.

You can attach SFX to attacks.

Also, your mileage may vary depending on the backend. I found SDL to be the more reliable sound .dll.

The nightly frequently end the custom exe program while i am working, (mainly while working with sound effects.

If I leave an areea while playing in full screen, it ends game.exe.

When ever I re enter customexe it make me erase, or recover my files. How do I use the recoverd files it save as .bak files?

what is a backend?

You can use the recovered .bak files by renaming them to .rpg.

Backends are OHRRPGCE with different graphics/sound libraries. I use ohrrpgce-wip-fb-sdl.zip

I don't know about your problem though. It sounds like your computer is choking on OHRRPGCE for Windows completely. What is the operating system you're using, and how old is your computer?

I don't recommend nightly unless you want new features... I'Ve been beta-testing onlyoneinall's forthcoming game, and we've come across countless engine bugs that are not related to his scripts... its more than annoying (especially since the savegame isnt very close at hand... erhm)
