Lemme tell you a story. Was a time once when this board was thriving, and I mean thriving. Don't have a good mental picture? Alright, imagine an anthill. Now imagine stepping on an ant hill. Notice all the ants that crawling over every nook and cranny of what once was their beautiful home, most with a newfound malicious intent, zeroing in right at you? Yes, thriving. We had a number of budding artists with skills of varying degrees and many with their own personal style. But now, I could count the number of people who've posted in the last two months on one and still have fingers left.

So I'm issuing a challenge. I'm calling out every CPer who's ever even thought of doodlin' with a pencil, paintin' with your fingers, or even playin' with MSPAINT to starting arting it up and bring this board to its former glory by entering this contest. Entrants will not be discriminated by skill, medium, method, or style. If you're making it, we're accepting it. There's is only one guideline: Yes, children, it's a fanart contest.

We've seen in the past what happens when art contests get bogged down by loads of specific rules, so the only one I'm presenting, aside from the obvious adherence to forum rules, is that it must be a NEW piece featuring a character/event connected to and OHR game or the OHR community which you did not personally create. Beyond that, it's up to you.

When your piece is ready, come back here and post it, with the name of the character/event and what they're from. If you need a place to host your picture, http://imageshack.us is recommended. If your entry is not an image, PM me and we'll discuss alternative methods for hosting.

The contest will be open for entries until 7AM EST on March 4th, 2007. That's two weeks from now. I know the cutoff time seems a little arbitrary, but that's about when I get home from work and will be able to call it. Voting will commence shortly after.

Now, if there're no further questions, let's get to it!

I need to draw something (I have an idea, even though it's not really a named character that's popular).

I just hope nobody does fanart of "Barely Legal Female Dogs". Ick!

Well I guess I'll get things started with my 10 minute model. I'll take some time to do more decent artworks later on.
(Although I have to start playing OHR games again for other popular characters.)

Offensive or not, I tried it out and my reaction was more of, "This game is gross!" instead of "This game is offensive!" I knew the latter already... The former is what got me. >_<

EDIT: The "name" is the Valkyrie from Vikings of Midgard.
