Castle Paradox

I've been working on a fabulous project recently, and it's time to show some preliminary results. What we have here is an unprocessed "orbital" view of the planet Zyra, the world upon which games like TSSE, BLB, and a few others of mine take place. For those familiar with the games, you may recognize some landforms in this screenshot - the desert south of the forests on the (northwest in this view) continent would be where TSSE is presently stuck, with Kyle and Co. wandering around lost.

Over the next few days, I'll be updating its appearance digitally to enhance certain landforms and generally clean it up. Also, translating a two-dimensional map to a three-dimensional globe is REALLY time consuming.

I think the GIMP has a nice tool to transfer a 2d map into a 3d globe...

True, but this is actually hand-painted, which takes far more skill and time to come out with something impressive. Try painting the map of your own OHR world on a foam ball, it's not very easy.

You ought to take a picture of it in your hand, so we can see the scale.
