..have you played crescent dream?http://castleparadox.com/gamelist-display.php?game=244

..t'was the very first game i uploaded here in CP. and no,i'm actually pretty proud of it. Oookay...

..it's already in the process of having a remake (a preview can be found here http://castleparadox.com/gamelist-display.php?game=127), and i doubt i would make it in time if i were to finish this one.

..other than those two games i think i don't have any games uploaded here. Big grin

Don't fret too much. I am still working on my first game (and have no interest remaking OHR Pong), so I will not be in the contest either.

This would be illegal as well as a bad idea. No.

You could release a demo of your remake or you could work with someone else on his remake.

Additionally, I've created an account for you. Check your e-mail.

Do tech demos count? I suppose it's not embarrassing enough though.

Alternatively, what about unreleased games?

I've been meaning to remake WTF!!!!1 for years, but the purpose was basically to dump the included minigame(s) (which is the entire game) and add different ones in it's place (ones closer to what I wanted at the time), so I guess it would violate the rules.

Well, yeah...
But it couldn't have been your very first game, could it?
The game that you made for the sake of testing out the engine?

This is entirely discretionary. Surlaw is remaking Totally... Gihern!, which is not really a newbie game. Unreleased games count, too; I think a lot of people didn't release their very first game attempt.

I'm already remaking my first game. I don't anticipate being done anytime soon.

Unless of course, you ask the game's author for their permission.

That said, I give permission for ANYONE to remake ANY game of mine, except Barely Legal Bitches, Timestream Saga (either), or Vikings of Midgard.

If you count FF1's remakes, then technically he could have remade a remake that we are now remaking, creating a very recursive game.
