CN, I don't think you should start a new thread. That would make everyone have to look through this thread to see the entries, and then go to the next thread to vote. Edit your first post and add a poll to it once entries are no longer accepted.
Just a suggestion. _________________

Fine, but I'm fairly afraid whenever I make suggestions that someone will hate me for it...
Aethereal: The part where the spear tip is right over his face looks weird, because the grey blends too well with the green (and because most of the rest of the sprite is outlined, when it is not). The red lines on the helmet were a nice touch, but I couldn't tell what they were for. If the front of it was over his eyes it could look like he was dressed up as a lizard monster, heh.
Chaos Nyte: It was JPGized, so I can't make comments on the fine details. The scarf (or collar) was a nice touch, and it looked pretty good altogether, except on the attack frame, where her neck ends quicker in front than in the other side frames, making it look somewhat like she has a big nose that's sticking out. Also, the facing left frames are the same (I know they weren't intended to be, but I wanted you to know in case you wanted to fix it.)
That's pretty much it.
Don't hate me please everyone. _________________ Preserve OHR history! Do it for the children! |

Heh.
IM- Good idea. I'll do that then.
Blazes- Thanks. After talking to IM and Aeth, I've got it looking much, much clearer. Take a look now! |

Damn. When was this posted? I log on after a 24 hour break, and there's a friggin contest with only 5 hours to go.
Squall, we should get together and have a snail race sometime. Anyone want to put up odds? (regarding working speed) _________________ Missing in Action

That's a good point, Seth. You get an extra day, since you're in Australia. It should only take you around an hour though. |

Well... the thing is, I don't get an extra day, do I? (explanation would be good )
And I take 2-3 hours for each (non-palette-swapped) walkabout. _________________ Missing in Action

CN: I guess the only other thing would be more detail on the helmet from the back view.
(I'm not being hypocritical, I know from the back my helmet looks terrible. I just don't know how to fix it, heh.) _________________ Preserve OHR history! Do it for the children! |

BBI, add a couple of dents, and make it a tad lighter. It looks pretty good though. _________________ Missing in Action

Well, I'm doing bad (if 'zero' is any indication).
Ah well. Guess this is a wake-up call to either improve my style more or change it. _________________ Preserve OHR history! Do it for the children! |

The standard archetype enforces me to retch as much as Aethereal's avatar inflicts me to. Myrtle does not gratify me...I elect the dwarf. |

Dear Sir Alvanista Von Thesaurus the XI,
We are not impressed by your redundant sentence structure. First, this is not a thread about avatars; second, before you bash Aeth's avatar for being stereotypical, take a closer look at your own.
Your humble servant,
Strong Bad.

To all of you who participated, good job.
Aeth: hmmm, I'm just guessing... I think you only use around 12 colors total? If so, you should take advantage of the 16-color palette.
Blaze: Overall it's pretty good, but the armor and clothing texture could use some polishing.
CN: I believe I've commented on this on the IRC. It's good, but I believe you didn't use two palette slots. Take full advantage of it. _________________ "I am Collins. My shading always ends up looking too gradient-y if I use three shades of a color. That is why I neglected to use three shades for some colors (like the cyan armor).
Edit: Thanks, Orchy. What is wrong with Jowy? He's a great character. _________________

Thanks Mithril!
Myrtle? Nah, she was solely created for the contest. If I use her for anything, it might be to improve her some more, thanks to Orchard. |
