It was during the afterglow of his meal that the smell finally reached the Count. It was a pleasant smell, all too familliar. The odor of innocence. The scent of a baby! |

Darkness reached the babe's crib in seconds. It was empty. The count turned around and Blood boiled when he saw the child, safe in Father Howling's arms. |

The church bell rings, destroying the entire world. Turns out the vampires really did put the silent noise in the city.

"Put down that baby, Priest." said the count, deceivingly calm. "You know you can't hope to defeat me, least of all with one hand."
The infant stayed put. "I might be using one of my hands, but I've got a helping hand. The helping hand OF THE LORD!" Howling let out a war cry, and crushed a bottle in his left hand, covering it with the holy wet stuff.
The vampire hissed! |

Fixed:
"I want my baby back, Priest." said the count, deceivingly calm. "You know you can't hope to defeat me, licking the barbaque sauce off of your fingers." _________________ Allow me to preemptively disclose that I probably hate the person posting below, including myself. |

The next update might be awhile, guys. I've never written the thrilling, action-packed conclusion to an epic tale of good vs. evil before, and I want to make sure I get it right.
(Skeptics might note that this is hardly an epic tale of good vs. evil, and that we've had an interval of two years between updates before, but I digress.)
Can't you just cut the anticipation with a knife? Couldn't you really just pick up a knife and cut it?
Until then: poetry!
I might even start with some now!
How about a tribute to the best way to have fun while challenging your own sexuality? That's right: Ode: To a Pillow Fight
Fun beyond measure
The touch of a feather
Swung by an angel above
Sackful of stuffing
Blissful soft fluffing
Covering slip like a glove
O'er the bed do I bounce
Spotted, my victim to trounce
What is she made of?
Pillows through air with a hurl
At me, and this beautiful girl
Till finally peace, and a dove
The End! ^_^ |

Still no progress on those two fighting. I've been trying to read around to figure out how my beloved men's adventure novels handle the big climatic battle sequences, but it seems like for the most part the conclusion is never very epic. Seeing as how the goal of this (And the reason to write it so far apart) was to make ever sentence epic, I will accept no let down in the conclusion!
Which means we get to wait longer: sorry.
Was that long enough? Too long?
HERE WE GO!!!!!
His fiendish onslaught tested every ounce of the priest's martial prowess, a cyclone of claws and fangs, searching for even a single drop of blood. Howling whirled, his nimble dodges and flowing robe guarding his flesh from the taint of evil, in an impressive display of agility and deception.
Even the baby was impressed. But the young warrior's battlecry distracted the holy man's war dance and Blood loved the mistake, his talon already halfway to Howling's neck and all the blood that came with it.
Dozer closed his eyes and prayed. His free hand flicked gently upwards and a single drop of holy water flew from his fingertip. It struck, and then burned clean through the devil's right hand.
Even the peasants in the church heard the bastard scream. Blood writhed and thrashed about the room, slowly regaining his composure. Howling only watched, as the mad yellow eyes of his nemesis finally came to rest on his own.
The Count genuflected, and spit on his righteous foe's shoes. |

Heh, thanks. Your kindness has helped soothe the hurt of Shadow's bitter betrayal of the written word.
Now that that's all over with, I have to figure out how else to waste time once a month. Has anyone had any positive experience with lycanthropy? |
