Well everyone needs to find his own way of game developing I guess.
I think it's different for each person.
And it's almost impossible for another person to prevent the developer to drop the project. |

I wasn't referring to everyone just to 'many' as can be proved by the hundreds of unfinished game on this site. ^^'
I think even some of the "Final Version" labelled ones aren't actually finished. |

I'm sorry this topic got off track. I don't want people to doubt their writing abilities. I just suggest trying to start with text boxes when making a game if you've designed a story, and you can base some direction around what you write.
If the event comes that you absolutely want to ditch your game and start anew, then you'll at least have something to look back on and gained some experience. _________________

That's not pessimism, it's just stating facts (or estimated facts).
Well as long as the dude that started the thread doesn't come back we can't really stay on topic. ^^'
And if you did a lot graphics and then ditched your game you can also look back at it and also gained some experience. Well depends on in what part you want to gain experience. :p |

You can also find some graphics which you can recycle on your "next" game project. That's what I have been doing for the past year: Try to make a game, ditch it, make another game, recycle graphics from the last game, and then ditch the game again. It's an endless process that I hope I can stop. _________________ The man who smiles when things go wrong has thought of someone to blame it on.
