I would like to help with the coding part of development, what would I need, and where could I learn about the language, internals, and other parts of the ohr? |

To help edit Custom and Game, you'd need some knowledge with Free Basic.
There's actually a very convenient wiki page about contributing to OHRRPGCE here: 'Improving the Program' _________________ Look back and you've already lost.

FB isn't much removed from languages like C - you don't really need to know much of it, eg none of the standard library, or any of those new OO features. I don't even know about that stuff. Just use the online reference and learn as you go.
Besides the RPG format little is documented, so post to the mailinglist, and ask lots of questions. We've got lots of programmers hanging around there who stay far away from actual source. In the unlikely event that the sight of the source doesn't scare you off, I, and probably others, are quite willing to answer endless questions.
If you hang around IRC (#ohrdev is the designated channel, but it doesn't matter), you'll see me (Mike has abandoned IRC - good on him), and occasionally Inferior Minion, but don't ask him about the FB code. _________________ "It is so great it is insanely great." |
