Did you get the weapon's License?
Also: 1) You can't get in the east part of town yet, that's why it's blocked by guards, that means you're not supposed to be able to get that treasure chest yet
2) I know about the loading, I'll fix that later.
3) I'll addmore enemies and fix all the battle formatoins and frequency, this is still an early stage so I didn't work on that a lot yet
4) I'l fix the stats to make it all better
5) You're right about the tactics and the beginning skills, I'll work on that.
6) Yes, the game started off as a OHR remake of FFXII, if you were here 2 years ago, I had talked about it. But then after a lot of chat in the forum the game was canned. I then used it to create Xerion recently.

Oh comon, that's just mean >_>;
I'm pretty sure all the features I've talked about implementing in this game aren't like FF games. And I've said that this started off as a FF XII remake 2 years ago.
Chenzi wrote: | However, dear god, decrease that filesize. Hell, make them midis if you have to. |
It's been fixed btw. I said several posts ago that I reposted it and it's now 2.something MB.
And 1more thing, I'm pretty sure I haven't copied Dalazhaar from any game, I made it up myself and I find that I did a good job making it different than towns in most OHR games which all have grass, dirt roads leading to the main areas and whatnot, this one is more like a real town, you have to learn to find your way around it. Lots of features such as skills, monsters and even the white mage animations aren't put in yet, I've mentioned all this before, that it doesn't have that much in it other than what you've seen and some things I didn't give you access to just yet. You seem to all be nitpicking on things I've mentioned before. Please read what I write first. Thank you.
But still, it's nice knowing what's wrong with the game, it helps me out, and thanks for all the comments Rya, I'm working my best to make this game a really good one.
And finally: What do you mean "FFT, a game that a lot of people won't enjoy, at least make it based on something people like"?? FFT and FFTA were AWESOME. Everyone I know LOVED them. What's wrong with them? Is it because they're not shitty spin-offs to the shittiest FF out there, FF7?
[EDIT]: I got an idea for the slime boss, but I'm not sure how to make this work.
I make the slime boss untargetable by heroes, then I want him to summon smaller slimes, but each slime costs him 10HP. The only way to defeat him is to defeat all the slimes he summons until he's out of slime and dies (The slimes he summons are smaller parts of himself)
How can I make this workout? And what do you think of this idea? _________________ http://www.madsoftgames.net/

FFTA is a totally different game than FFT. It doesn't have nearly the fanbase, and in a lot of gamers opinions, it is one of the thing that is killing current generation final fantasy games.
Other than that, I refuse to post any more about this game, as it'll only add to the hype that this game did not deserve. _________________ Allow me to preemptively disclose that I probably hate the person posting below, including myself. |

I see...Well, I like the fact that you can select any quest you feel like doing, it makes the game less linear and I'm going to keep this system in the game. I'll remove the LP system in your honor and in the fact that it does get frustrating.
Maybe if you helped me out with my suggestion (the slime idea I just added as an edit) I'd really appreciate it. And I don't think you're adding hype to this game, I think the fact that you reviewed it and showed everyone how moderate it is and how it doesn't deserve the hype it's getting, should do the trick. I appreciate the review and maybe if you explained how I can keep making this game better, it might deserve the hype that people have for it for some reason (I even said before that it's nothing to be hyped about if you check my previous posts).
Thank you.
(I remember how I always used to take negative critics in a bad way, but you know what? Critics are here to help me improve my game, and I thank everyone who's reviewing this.) _________________ http://www.madsoftgames.net/

I am sure that there are a few ways to do this with the OHR.
One way would be make the slime spawn attack the Slime boss after it dies. On death, summon a similar enemy right behind it that does one attack which targets only allies. For this to work, of course, you will need to make the mini blobs a type that takes no damage from the type of attack it uses and have the attack target all allies, so it hits the boss slime. The Big boss takes all of the damage.
To Chenzi: I haven't played this game yet, but I still think your comment regarding the hype was a little harsh. After all, this is only a fraction of the demo and if I remember correctly, there was a ton of hype surrounding SOJ and there weren't any demos released of it. Am I wrong? Who's to say SOJ didn't start off horrible? Did it deserve the hype it got a year before it's completion? Oh wait... This game isn't getting nearly that much hype. This, unfortunately for you haters, only strengthens my point. _________________ Planning Project Blood Summons, an MMORPG which will incinerate all of the others with it's sheer brilliance...

The early versions of SoJ were horrible (it was called Dog Quest for godsake).
This game was overhyped. I've been hearing about it for about a month now, it annoyed the hell out of me. Though, I must say, I have seen worse ("Fat Frog IS COMING....!!!" got old about the fifth goddamn time Kumkwat posted it). OHR games are doomed to failure if they are overhyped.
Edit: Someone who shall remain nameless gave me the best way to end this post.

Pure brilliance.
Oh, don't worry. I know who it was.
EDIT: Since it turns out my avatar is Gengen from Suikoden II, this was directed more at him than me. Game set and match. Winner, Leroy. _________________ Planning Project Blood Summons, an MMORPG which will incinerate all of the others with it's sheer brilliance...

Suikoden II sucks, and the avatar is a furry.
Game set and match, winner, still, Chenzi.
Edit: Goddamnit madsoft. Why does your avatar have to be so much fun? _________________ Allow me to preemptively disclose that I probably hate the person posting below, including myself. |

Yes I have bought the weapon license and still can't buy any weapons.
Oh and as I said you can go to the east part of town because of the weird wallmapping. :p
I won't comment on the whole furry and FF hate. _________________ Snippy:

LOL! This thread is becoming hilarious.
And ok, so, I've finished fixing the slimeboss.
I redid some graphics that were made back then before voxhumana.
AND I fix the wallmapping. It's all good now.
I added skills too!
Stab
Double Cut
Defence/Defence+/Defence++
Speed+ actually works now
Berserk (Marcus) Works now too
and so does Heal and Potion.
And I love what you did with the avatars Chenzi. _________________ http://www.madsoftgames.net/

Ummm. How does that make you the winner?
I'm only responding because arguments that end with a "I win just because" are epic fail.
So, I suppose re-downloading the game now would probably be a good idea, eh Madsoft? _________________ Planning Project Blood Summons, an MMORPG which will incinerate all of the others with it's sheer brilliance...
