Wow! I had seen a lot off that before, but I don't think all of it. My guess is that some of the faqs were preserved (like acronym reasoning), while James tried to erase the commercial release plans from memory. _________________ My first completed OHR game, Tales of the New World:

Wow, I'd forgotten how ugly web pages were in the '90s. _________________

Nah, there is still a page that mentions it.

At that stage, I was working with a DOS computer. I connected to a unix shell account and Lynx was the only web browser I had access to. The graphical layout of the site was purely guesswork. |

James Paige wrote: | Not counting test-files like sample.rpg and npc_tag.rpg, The second OHR game ever was a Sailor Moon fan-game. I don't think I still have a copy of it, and I can't remember the author's name, but she does occasionally return to the OHR community from time to time, and I am pretty sure she has made at least one other game. The only thing I can really remember about the game was that it had a heck of a lot of NPC kittens on one map, so many that it could be hard to move.
EDIT: I am not 100% sure, but I think that this might be the same game, although it has obviously gone through a few revisions since I first saw it. |

I faintly recall the author you're talking about (bis-senchi?) and that's not her game. She was a regular on the boards at that site you posted because she was a fan of the game, which was created by Devin. Obviously it's not being maintained anymore, but it was my favorite game for a while.
Why do I know this? Because Devin's game was my gateway to the ohrrpgce. If it wasn't for that game I probably wouldn't found the OHRRPGCE at all, and that was back in 2000. |

I'm sure that's not the game James was thinking of. Bis_senchi hasn't been around that long.
Welcome to the community, by the way. _________________

Devin, really? I thought I wrote a screen shaking or something script for him (her??) once, back in about 2002. I thought (s)he was a newbie at the time. Maybe I'm confused. _________________ "It is so great it is insanely great." |
