This is glorious.

Can we freely set the location of the sprite?
And will placing a sprite shift the text around on its own, or does that have to be done manually?

Again, a wonderful update.

Oh, I hope so. I'm so used to left-justified character portraits... it would feel weird to have one on the right...

I saw this in the morning, so I'd assumed that I wouldn't be able to try this until tomorrow, but...

Because downloading the nightly while trying to type up a paper for a class can get messy, especially when the paper is past due.

I LOVE IT!
This elegantly solves that one problem I was having with Seed Of Natrah. Now I don't have to draw the map tiles onto the map with plot scripting like I was planning on doing. ^_^ *so happy*

!

That's right, this gives us the ability to paste images onto the screen temporarily. Very nice...

You know what I mean. I was going to use plotscripting to put animated map tiles next to the text box with the character's face... Oh wait. Let me stop myself. Maybe this won't allow me to do the animated part... It might be a nifty thing to try, but if it isn't animated, then it might be "back to the drawing board" for me.

Animate by displaying textboxes one after another in plotscripting, like you were using images to animate an FMV.

A good idea, as long as the scripter remembers to add in a manual break in the animation for closing the text box. (I goofed up this part last night...)

Why does the portrait appear ABOVE text? Don't you think it'd be more useful to have it BELOW the text? Or would this cause problems? I just thought it'd be more practical, if say you just have the text over the picture, which might be useful for other type of text box effects other than portraits..

It just seems like it'd be more useful that way to me.

Still can't do blinking though. I want the eyes to blink every few seconds.

This is so sweet... <3 I already knew it was being added, but I hadn't seen any screenshots until now. Truly lovely... <3 Now the text boxes will be more interesting to look at! Wink
