In my experience, TwinHamster is actually quote a nice guy. I assume you are responding to his criticism in this thread, right?
I know standards of communication vary greatly in different parts of the internet, but in this forum, most people strongly prefer complete sentences with correct grammar and punctuation. Not saying you can't have fun and talk nonsense once in a while, but you will get a better response if you speak in a different voice.
Speaking of politics, I am utterly fascinated to learn why you would group "Al Gore" "Nazis" and "George Bush" all in the same list. |

You think he's bad? He's nicer than Jesus compared to most of the users in this community.

... I actually thought that was the most intelligent part of the thread. _________________ Allow me to preemptively disclose that I probably hate the person posting below, including myself.

I don't use gimmicks,Surlaw.
I like most members. But why I joined because that these 2 forums called "Kirby's rainbow resort" and "the Yoshi network. gives me too much criticism to me.
I'm not a user full of gimmicks.
@James-You forgot John McCain.
@Chenzi-I'm defensive to most kinds of criticisms.Plus Surlaw is giving some point I'm getting. But I don`t use gimmicks!
@Surlaw-I never use gimmicks.NEVER.Dude,I like you due to you being a
nice guy but too much criticism will get me off this for good and what else
should I go?Back to those 2 forums who insulted by Avatars, posts, art and
topics? NEVER.I like all of the members not just when act like douches. _________________ Here and There. |

A story is allowed to be more than a wall of text.
In fact, most of this community's members convey stories through games.
Imagine that!
If you're unable to convey a story through a wall of text, you may have better luck with sharing the story through other means.
Apologies if it seemed too blunt for your tastes, but I've no reason to take it back.
Criticism is a big part of this community.
With criticism, stories get better, graphics get better, music gets better, (and most importantly) games get better.
If you can't immediately accept a heavy dose of criticism (very few people can), I'd suggest coming back to it in some time to reflect on what went wrong.
If you have further problems with me I would gladly accept an exchange of thoughts over Private Messages.
[edit]Also, no hyphens next time. Thanks. |

Nah.
I've endured about almost 9 years of criticism.

Alrighty, closed the 3 threads. Didn't post in them all 'cause I'm closing them all for the same reasons for the most part, but this thread bothered me most.
You've been posting extremely random and off topic things. This thread especially, has nothing to do with stories, and it's a clear flame towards TwinHamster for simply stating his opinion (And in the journals even). This is against our rules. You CAN take something like this to Private Messages, but people are free to report unwelcomed PMs so be sure to not get carried away.
Secondly, video games are a form of art. Everyone has different opinions on what makes good art. This is where criticism comes from. There will always be people who will tell you they hate what you made, or like what you made, and will tell you that what you did was wrong or right.
This community revolves around games, and the art that makes them. With that said, you could say this community also revolves around criticism. If you hate criticism that much, then I'm afraid this community may not be the place for you.
Castle Paradox is meant to be a site for you to have fun, talk about games, and make games. We want this place to be for everyone and anyone, of all ages. And while the moderators and admins are all quite tolerant with what gets posted, there are still certain standards to what should and shouldn't be posted. These last few threads are good examples of what NOT to post. And if you really must post these things, be sure to do it in your journal, although you may still receive the same criticism as you have in these threads. Again, that's just the way this site works.
So, be sure to double check the rules of the site. With all that said, enjoy your stay at CP and have fun. |
