So, in conjunction with the release of the album I posted about, here's the newest version of the game based on one of the songs. I think it's about ready to go, but I'd like to get one more round of comments on it. Here are the changes from the previous version:

1. The little guy jumps higher, so bullets should be easier to dodge.
2. Difficulty tweaked to be easier in the beginning, and better approximate a learning curve.
3. You remain invincible longer after being hit, and regain control after the knockback while still invincible, so you no longer get stuck being constantly thrashed by enemies.
4. Better animation code.
4. Mp3 filesize has been reduced for a shorter loading time. Still kind of long, but I worry about the quality of the music. What do you guys think?

Nice. I enjoy this more every time you revise it. The control handles nicely, and even though I got hit a lot it didn't feel frustrating.

Love the "freak out".

I would love to see a little pixel-art zombie instead of the stick-figure man. (maybe you can con somebody here into drawing one for you)

Also, I was wondering about the big empty space in the middle. What is that for? Just to give you enough time to see the up-waves? Or do you plan on adding something in that space? I thought scrolling lyrics would look pretty nifty there.

Thanks. Yeah, the big empty space is really just to give players time to react to the sound waves, but scrolling lyrics are a GREAT idea.

And... if anyone does want to draw a little pixel art zombie, I would be thrilled to use it!

This.
You should post the spriteset for the stick figure guy so people who might take a stab at it have the basic parameters.
