If you have a nightly from the last few weeks, then script debug mode has an F1 help screen. Also, go to 'How does script-debug mode work?'.
If you want to use it, I highly recommend you get a recent nightly, because I've made a lot of improvements which make it more usable for inspecting variables, although all in all, it's still pretty nasty to use..
Also, the very latest nightly lets you view strings as well.
