This is technically a technical question. so i put it here, tho its really a noob question.

I was feeling like a bit of nostalgia and have been playing thru games i used to play years and years ago.

one of my old favorites was a game called the 'ends of the earth' (eote) by 'valkayree'.

some googling led me to this site where i found download links for both Eote and Eote2. so i downloaded them. only to discover the zips contain rpg files... no offense, but what the hell is an rpg file? im pretty sure when i played this many years ago the file i downloaded was an executable.

so essentially what im asking is how do i play a .rpg game?

You can play RPG files through the OHRs GAME.exe, you can download the stable release of GAME.exe and the engine at this address:

If it still won't run, try an older version of the engine which can be found at;

http://hamsterrepublic.com/ohrrpgce/archive/
