First, I want to make an introduction of myself. Hello, I am Master K. I am very new. I use OHRRPGCE game maker, of course, and i'm not to good with graphics. I am rather better with coming up with ideas for a story.
I browsed these forums, and I noticed that there are numerous 'dead threads' and it seems to be much inactivity. There are posts from 2010. But thats my observations.
So my question is: How alive do you think CP forums are? |

Hello and welcome to the community, while Castle Paradox might not be that active we also have Slime Salad, which has the other half (or 3/4ths) of the community.
Still you can still expect to see replies here so don't think it's totally dead here eh? |

Hm, thats true. I am a frequent to another forum, which is much more...um, alive, so I am not used to seeing such...dramatic death.
But, it is good to know that these forums still have a pulse once in a while. So hopefully, if I make a (Decent) game, i'll put it up and it will be seen.
And thank you for welcoming me. |

Hi, Welcome!
These forums have a decent number of users (relative to total number of OHR users)... unfortunately, they are all lurkers. Seems that in their old age, long time OHR users prefer working on their games to talking about them ;). It's been particularly quiet the last couple of months (*cough-years*). SlimeSalad and IRC are better places to find discussions, but if you ask a question in the HelpMe forum you're still certain to get an answer. _________________ "It is so great it is insanely great." |

This place has been dying in one way or another since I joined back in '05. Heck, I was almost scared away by that year's April Fool's prank, since it stayed on the main page as an announcement for so long. _________________ "I didn't start the flame war;

Couldn't have been more than 9 months though. _________________ "It is so great it is insanely great." |

I read CastleParadox regularly, and answer questions whenever I can, even though I don't post a lot else here. |

True indeed. I don't come here as often as I used to, even though I've been a member for 7 years now. _________________ "There will always be people who will tell you they hate what you made, or like what you made, and will tell you that what you did was wrong or right."

I wonder...do people still respond to the OHR classified in the Creative Corner? I posted up...several requests a couple weeks back, and the crickets are starting to gnaw on it.
Not to be pushy, but just...patience is not one of my strong points. |

Well, BlastedEarth was being optimistic in posting to a two-year-dead thread.
I'll point out that people are much more likely to help with a game if give them lots of information about it and show off the work you've already done on it. _________________ "It is so great it is insanely great." |

I've just been informed via email that someone replied to three of my followed Castle Paradox threads ... which, upon investigation, appear to no longer exist.
So ... Castle Paradox is at least not dead, but it is at best deceptively undead.
I've disappeared from these internets for years at a time in the past, but I always come back.
Actually, I'm not supposed to be here right now. Don't tell anyone.
Seriously, shhh! _________________ Working on rain and cloud formation |
