I notice that CastleParadox was visited by another spam robot. I don't think any of the current moderators currently visit the site all that often, so I was wondering if it makes any sense to nominate another moderator who can delete spam?

I don't even see many spambots here. Not that I check regularly, but it seems someone is deleting them often enough.

They're extremely annoying. One of my other sites got 50 spam bot signup daily after it had been linked to once from a high profile site.

ReCAPTCHA is fairly useless for stopping them anymore, so I installed one of those spam network thingies that checks their IP and emails against known spammers and blocks them. Much more effective.

Even though I don't post much, I do check Castle Paradox at least once a day (usually twice).

phpBB 2 has got to be pretty battle-hardened by now, though.

I usually check CP's forums every day. Whether or not you notice the spam bots depends to some degree on what time of day you typically visit the site: the moderators have their own times when they'll typically delete bot posts.

Ah that explains why I don't see any spambots and James keep seeing them. He's like 8 hours away from me.

SlimeCastleParadoxSalad is pretty cool. Especially on a widescreen monitor.
