It'll work just fine in battle, but on the field it won't heal, but hurt. I've noticed this both in this game and my own. (so alpha, if I was you, I'd change the % based healing skills into set amounts until the issue is resolved). |

Well, the current upload of Alpha's game is a good test case. If it is a percent (say 25% of maximum HP), and it is used in battle it behaves as expected (25% of the character's health is replenished) whereas outside of battle using the same spell will deplete the HP by 25%.
I'll show you what my healing spell looks like:
Damage Math : HP = 30% of Maximum
Base ATK Stat : 100
Base DEF Stat : Default
Target Stat : HP
Extra Damage : -70%
The bitsets are:
Cures instead of Harms
Mutable
Heal Damage (note: all characters absorb 100% of a heal, I added this to see if it'd fix the issue, but it made no difference whether it was there or not)
It works fine in battle but not outside of battle. |

The way I read those settings, here is what that attack SHOULD be doing both in battle and out of battle:
It should set the target's HP equal to 30% of its maximum, regardless of the previous HP. It would look like damage if you had more than 30%, and it would look like healing if you had less than 30%
I don't think the "Cures instead of Harms" bitset is supposed to work at all if you are using percentage-setting attacks.
If it is doing so in battle, that might be the bug. I would trust TMC about how this is supposed to work because he just recently went over the damage calculation code in a major cleanup (which included hiding bitsets when they don't apply) |
