Are you making this game with the OHRRPGCE? Or some other engine or programming environment? I am surprised you landed gamestop as a sponsor. Pretty cool!
Anyway, if this is an OHR game, an actual video file is not an option, but you can use a sequence of 320x200 backdrops shown in succession with a simple plotscript to make a simple low-resolution low-frame-rate movie (which should be fine if you keep it consistent with the pixel-art style of your game.)
