That's a good idea. It would be great if something like that happened because it would show people what the OHR can do and encourage more thought and effort being put into games.
Great idea!

We ARE planning on something like that, but I don't think there will be anything related to the message board. See the OHRlympics for an example of what it might be like.
Nothing is formally announced, it's more of a "hey, we should do this" "yeah" thing. _________________ You got film in my video game!

Maybe you could do a best games category? Vote some games every month intothe category which you think were really great. SO we're not just always looking at the same top 10 games.. _________________ "It is so great it is insanely great." |

Ok.
Willl there be judges, or everyone votes? Well.... go for people power, IMHO. _________________ "It is so great it is insanely great." |

I agree in the sense that "people power" would be the best course of action to take. But that could lead to the problem of bias. Sometimes people develop a sense of favoritism towards a certain gamemaker and will give their games a higher score than they should give.
The ideal way would to be to have many non-bias judges deciding on the top three of each category. Of course anything that is "ideal" is king of uptopian and will never and can never become a reality.
Just food for thought I suppose...

would be public vote. Expect to see someting like this:
best plotscripting:1st wandering hamster -James Paige
2nd somegame-somedude

If any one wants to help we could for a panel of judges _________________ Moogle no longer owes prizes. |
