A Hardtype version would be nice. My Dwarf Monk takes out everything in one hit - he does like 200 damage O_o. _________________

Now that I've given CN the working FAQ for it, all will be well with the world. Oh wait. (Goes to send Seth the Faq as well) There, NOW all is right with the world. I believe this will assit the completion of a final review. |

Hey, I know that this is a bit off-topic, but is it necessary to convert old O:OHR reviews to the Castle Paradox format? I can't speak for everyone's reviews, but the CP format doesn't allow room for most of mine. I looked over one of the converted reviews recently (Virtual School I think) and the text was garbled and cut off in the middle, which really doesn't help anybody.
I don't mind reformatting my old reviews to fit the new style if this is something you guys insist on doing, but the method you got going right now looks terrible, and in the case of my stuff, unfinished.
Do what you want, but I'd prefer to keep the old reviews on the old site. _________________ Progress Report:

The old O:OHR reviews don't follow the CP format. They maintained their old paragraph style and old scoring. The only change was the overall score conversion to a letter grade and the addition of 2 pictures.
Squall did a great job uploading the O:OHR reviews for us. _________________

Okay well my point was that the copy and paste features still work on most PCs, and any given paragraph could be dropped in any given section to better fit the CP format. It wouldn't be a direct conversion, but it would be a full and accurate review.
And just for the record, after writing yesterday's response, I went to check up on another review to see if the format was still chopped, and I found not only the content broken in the middle again, but the screenshots were wrong too. The game was "And&," but the screenshots were from "Xerian."
As I said before, if you want to try direct conversions of old reviews, that's great, but consider the lost content that comes from not converting by hand.
And the average grade can be estimated from the old overall number system:
1.0 = F
1.5 = F+
2.0 = D-
2.5 = D
3.0 = D
3.5 = D+
4.0 = C-
4.5 = C
5.0 = C
5.5 = C
6.0 = C+
6.5 = B-
7.0 = B
7.5 = B
8.0 = B+
8.5 = A-
9.0 = A
9.5 = A
10.0 = A+
Really, it can be done without sacrificing content. _________________ Progress Report:

Alright, the screenshot bit was probably my fault. Sorry for that, but when I copied all the old review into the box in CP, the entire thing was there. Is there a character limit on it or something? _________________ You got film in my video game!

Not sure whether that's sarcasm, but with a little work, I'm sure it'd be approved.
Coincidentally, I'm playing Walthros now, in hopes of eventually reviewing it. |

The first Same-creator/reviewer review has been made. And it does indeed prove that the alterations to the code discounting author points is enabled. Kudos to the admins and their elite team of Nija programmers! |

I am ressurecting this thread (it is MY thread anyway) for the purpose of bring to light a horrible glitch...
http://www.castleparadox.com/cgi-bin/review-display.php?review=59
Hachi's review was apparently infected by my deleted review of Zelda64 Mysteries, and the two merged into an unholy union of sorts. See it for yourself, and then decide how best to get those sneaky ninjas. |
