I'm having issues trying to add a game to the list;
it pops up an error message when I click submit...

there's not much to it right now because I'm pretty busy
going for all the ambience of old nes & ohr games...

Will this be an RPG or some kind of mutant hybrid of things? If it's an RPG, or if it can be considered an RPG, you may want to look into the Heart of the OHR Contest and see if your game would fit as a contestant.

hey thanks for the feedback
I like the idea behind the heart of ohr contest
I seriously used to mess with this thing all the time growing up
way back during the Bahamut RPG days
with the silly pop-up 'I am batman' joke...
Wingedemene and EOTE2 being the big names I can recall outside of the ongoing epic of Wandering Hamster
nostalgia demanded I return and actually complete a game
I'm hoping to keep OP fairly brief but with lots of interactivity available
it'll be a hybrid RPG using some arcade elements
In my head it's inspired by Dragon Warrior 1, FF1, Legacy of the Wizard, Zelda, Pokemon, SaGa Frontier and SaGa 2 (FF Legend 2)
these are big shoes to fill and, that being said, I'm sure I will not live up to any of them
I always liked exploring and talking to people and finding things the most so the game revolves around that rather than battles...
story is important
but I wanted all dialog to be short and stilted, with no cutscenes lasting longer than ~30 seconds because I can be restless
the story is abstract and will reveal itself as the game progresses
provided you talk to everyone available
so I guess it counts as an RPG is what I am blabbering about

Well, I'd definitely like you to enter it if you have a version of it ready by the end of November. It looks like it'll be a great addition to the contest. You might even get a T-shirt out of it  if all goes according to plan.
But yeah, it sounds like the kind of game that belongs in this contest, so by all means submit it if you post it by then. All I'm asking of the people who join is that they post a link to the game in the Heart of the OHR thread, either here or on Slime Salad, just so I can keep track of who's entering. In any case, you get a free piece of apparel. Oh, and you get a bugfix or feature request if you post it on James's Heartbugs Wiki as soon as possible. You might also get a nice prize if you win.
No pressure though.

Interesting. This must be a byproduct of the new version of PHP installed or one of the configurations associated with the new installation. I've adjusted the code to allow for apostrophes again. Let me know if it still doesn't work along with the error you see.
