|
|
Im not sure if this is the right place. But I am playing Final fantasy H
and I talk to the chocobo Lukahn gives me at cresent lake, and it takes me to the summit of the volcano. But as soon as I go to enter the volcano dungeon itself. The game crashes every single time.
Saying " a problem cause game.exe to stop working correctly. It says windows will close the program and notify if a solution is available."
Standard crash message. I need to know how to get it to stop crashing so I can play the game and finish it. I was really getting into it and now I cant get any farther because it keeps crashing. |

Thank you for reporting the crash!
I am guessing that you are using the exe file included with Final Fantasy H.
Please download the latest stable version of the OHRRPGCE http://hamsterrepublic.com/dl/ohrrpgce-minimal.zip and unzip it into the same folder where you unzipped Final Fantasy H.
Then run game.exe and choose Final Fantasy H and see if it still crashes.
Let me know what happens. |

Can you send me a copy of your saved game from right before the crash? I would like to try to reproduce the crash on my own computer
The file that contains the saves will be a file named FFHNORM.sav (or a folder named FFHNORM.saves if you saved using the newer version game.exe)
You can e-mail the save to Bob@HamsterRepublic.com or upload it somewhere and post a link here, whichever is easiest. |

Do I unzip one of those files to the same directory I installed
Final Fantasy H? Just checking before I unzip it so I can make sure I do it right. |

Actually, probably the easiest and cleanest way is to unzip into a new folder, and then copy FFHNORM.rpg and FFNORM.saves into the new directory
Then run game.exe in the new directory |
