I might like it if I played it. The Screenshots look alright from a graphics standpoint, but the game itself I can' really judge. I'll probably pay attention to how this develops, though.

OK...Giz's post made me check the game-uploading...which wasn't working Oookay...

When I reverted to that backup...I also reverted to the game-uploads page that tried to upload to the old server Raspberry!

Everything's in order now...so if you tried to upload a game and it didn't work...try it now....

Sorry...

You have a really good idea for a game, definately thinking outside of the box. However, it will take a lot of time and effort to make the game a masterpiece. People could easily design a Grand Theft Auto game; but if you want to make this game something truly amazing, you will have to spend a lot of time with it.

Personally, if I was designing this game, I wouldn't use the OHR battle system. I wouldn't even have battles and levels. Instead, like Grand Theft Auto, I would make the game without battles but rather all mini-games. By mini-games I mean running from the police with NPCs chasing you and beating you with nightsticks or whatever, decreasing the health on your health bar which would be displayed somewhere on the screen.

Of course, doing what will involve a lot of plotscripting and I'm not even sure how well it can possibly be done with OHR's ability, but it's just a thought...

Regardless of how the game turns out, it was a neat idea.

Pulling it off with ohr's new plotscipting system wouldn't be overly difficult in and of itself. I haven't fully checked out the new value display in the text boxes, but if it can display global variables created in plotscripts it would be somewhat simple. OR mayhap using the value display.

Granted the game will require alot of plotscripting, but that pales in comparison to the amount of code one would have to put forth to make it from scratch.

Curse C++ and it's graphical display complexity! Curse it!

There, I'm done.

Me and my friend tried to make a GTA engine back in the day. We got it to work, sort of... Good luck if you manage to pull this off.

One time I tried to make a GTA clone with Visual Basic. I eventually morphed into a two-player duel over a network, and ran really slowly.. But it worked!
A GTA-style thing with the OHR would be hard, but quite possible.

Interesting... But I don't think making a GTA game is thinking outside of the box.

I just played the demo, and I think it's pretty sweet. You really should continue making it.
