It's the new name for the Nintendo Revolution. No, it's not even Nintendo Wii. It's just Wii. (pronounced 'we')

"I'm going to play my we" just doesn't sound like it would ever fit into normal speech. But it can't sound this bad forever, if you think about it, a whole lot of products and english words in general are pretty strange. Wii just takes the cake though. I think I'm going to have to pretend I don't know how to pronounce it.

What I don't get is what Nintendo hopes to accomplish with changing the name. The "Revolution" was good enough for me, but no, they had to change it to something very weird.

To be honest, I'm not sure it's the best marketing idea in the world. But, I was against IPod. I don't personally like the name, but it may somehow work out for them. Maybe there'll be a market for "Case Mods" or whatever you call it for a console that make it say "Revolution" instead.

there have already been so many wii jokes, it's hillarious. But the best one so far has to be this:

Yeah... it's a stupid name, no argument. It's also the most talked-about console name ever. That may not be 100% good, but it's probably what they were aiming for. Mission: accomplished.

I would have preffered Revolution as the final name myself. I also think Playstation and Xbox are stupid names to re-use: Xbox 360 is just silly and Playstation 3 is running a stupid name into the ground for a third time around. (also, i hate how the buttons are labeled. Plz switch to a solid dpad and xyba, sony)

I am still looking forward 100% to the console, I just think they could have chosen a better name.
