Does your internet persona match you in real life?

This is an unfair question. If people acted in real life how they do on the internet, I would be a much more violent person.

Case in point. It'd be either that or constant migraines and you all certainly deserve to be in pain more than I do (with certain exceptions, but those are the ones who don't give me headaches anyway).

People seem to be under the misconception that the internet world is something outside of their normal living boundaries. It's not. To craft an entire internet persona is pointless. However, people will invariably act differently on the internet, the same they would in any different social situation. People are often more loud, and prone to 'out bursts'. A bunch of these guys are probably quiter in person than on here. It's probably quite obvious, but it's a quick explination of why I dislike the term, and entity of an 'Internet Persona'. People should be poeple.

and other places I just try and blend in. I like the idea of practical anonymity.

I'd like to think that I act pretty similar on here to how I act in person. The main difference is that, on the internet, one has more time to think about what one is typing (although not many people seem to take advantage of this). Actually, I have a bit more randomness and exuberance to me in person. In my opinion, words on a screen are a poor substitute for physical interaction; this is why I might seem like I don't care too much about the 'community' aspect of CP (as opposed to posting about games/the OHR itself). In the same vein, I am one of the only people I know that does not have an instant message thing.
