Whoa, I was browsing through old hamsterrepublic and cyberverse archives several months ago, and they were all available, right up to early 1997, before the first demo of wandering hamster. The only working download was a fairly recent custom.zip though :/
I can only imagine that it's server problems at archive.org... hopefully they'll be back.
