Now when I attempt to view a topic on the forum, I see an invalid compression message. Perhaps the boffins running the place accidentially turned on gZip compression? _________________

I'm getting the same error message. Maybe it has something to do with the bot post about "black tit jobs". Only time will tell. |

Gzip compression has always been on. Is this error still occurring? Can you link to a topic it occurs on? I've been unable to reproduce the error on any posts made yesterday.
Sorry for the "downtime" Hopefully it doesn't continue to happen.

Can you please paste the full error here? I have tried as both a logged in and a logged out user in Firefox and Safari. I'm unable to reproduce this error message. The journals use the same database, same configuration, and therefore the same Gzip compression when loading the page. I'm not even seeing an error message in the Apache logs.
The full error message would at least give me a starting point for identifying the issue.
Thanks,

Ah, it's a page load error.

Chrome spits out "This webpage is not available.
The webpage at http://www.castleparadox.com/ohr/viewtopic.php?t=6111 might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.
More information on this error
Below is the original error message

and IE, as usual, gives nothing useful for error reporting.
Nice to know that Journals is still working, though
