Fenrir-Lunaris wrote: | I'd also prefer you not call the characters "Zyrans", as that is a term straight out of TSSE, and holds no context outside of that game. It's A. used to indicate a subspecies of a widespread fantasy race, and B. indicates what planet they're from. Using it in the form you're using is like calling somebody from Berlin a New Yorker. Call them something else.
I believe I had previously indicated this to you, actually. Also, who are you getting to do the graphics for this?
|
I'm going to make them my self. I'm going to try to make them the best. Also I have a name for the races. The animal people are called Kobalds. And half-lings are called Kitons (pronounced as "Kye-tawns") Take note, these are races I plan to use in a game me and my friends are making, with C++. But I won't get into that until after OHR.
Also on another note I have decided to call espers in Rogue Knights, Genesis. No one has used that name and it's original. RK is actually supposed to take place somewhere before FF1 (NOT like Fenrir's game) This is a much different world. In-fact, here's the races species: Genesis, Espers, Eidolons, Aions. For anyone to know, RK is different from FF0. FF0 takes place before FF6.
RK is about a tyrant emperor that plans to rule everything. So a baron that works under him, is sick of his tyranny, and takes some people to a new continent, where he builds a kingdom. Later on the emperor finds where they are and seizes a man after them to stop them. That's all I don't want to spoil it.
However FF0 is about a war getting ready to take place. Garret starts to notice the King is acting wierd. His wife is killed mysteriously. And after taking off to a village of Mages, Muraki tells him what the kings true plans are and that they were sent after the mages to retrieve an esper. That's about it as well I don't want to spoil that either.
So far these are the games I'm making. RK first, and FF0 second. I plan to use the graphics from RK for FF0 at first but than afterwords change them and make them better. RK is on the verge of being finished. Well the demo is. |

Actually, the name Genesis has been used as, amongst other things, a Biblical Book, A Band, an RPG, A Sega Console, Countless Albums, and probably at some point a movie, not to mention it being a favorite of subtitle artists. |

Oh, so you're trying to be original, huh? Genesis is, in addition to Giz's list, an OHR game, a bomb, a NASA project, and a company name. That's the tip of the iceberg.
But I guess it's never used as a race or species in a fantasy game, which is all good and well until you look at Espers, Eidolons, and Aions. Why even try to maintain a pretense of originality? _________________

It was on accident, I meant to quote you. Also I'm not raping no ones name, FF0 will have CastleParadox in it. I'm not going to slander no one, so don't worry. |

You're not going to slander no one? So... you are going to slander some one?
Also, it's impossible to delete a post when you mean to quote it. A big warning pops up that says "DO YOU REALLY WANT TO DELETE THIS POST?" |
I was half asleep...

(When I said RPG, I actually meant the OHR game, but thanks for the back up Moogs. I had no idea about the NASA project.)
Oh, and I'm really looking forward to the game, RedMage. |

More like a project designed to accellerate terraforming. The side effect of the project was that it *could* be used as a weapon, simply because it would radically alter a planet's environment, killing all life thereof. This was the backstory-plot behind Star Trek II and III, in that this experiment, meant for the good of all, could be perverted into a terrible weapon of mass murder (A take on Nuclear Energy perhaps?). |

Very wise and accurate analysis, Mr. Lunaris. However, it would seem we've veered off topic into a field of pirhannamites. OH NOEZ! |

to be honest, i never thought of it as a comparison to nukular energy. though that sounds pretty accurate if you ask me... but honestly, i don't think that nuclear bombs were meant for the good of all.
nuclear power, on the other hand... well, that's obvious i'd say. |
