Hmm, strange bug with setting the level MP to 1002. Trying to set invalid levels is ignored, so that shouldn't be the problem. Must remember to take a look. |
I tested this script and it works fine. No wierd level 1 and 3 spell numbers like these:

Besides the random " ) " at the end of the script and the " (f) " that gives characters extra spells based on their party order, It seems fine. I now assume the problem is with when the script is called (though I'm not sure how it could have done what it did without seeing the whole game).
SO:
@The Mad Cacti : I'm pretty sure there is no bug like you mentioned.
ALSO! big picture. cavemanrick seems to have abandoned this idea so I guess none of it matters. oh well. |

You could do this with a custom stat menu and still be able to use the normal spell menu, I think. Or does it show your levelMP in the spell menu as well? |
ah..hehhehheh...whoops, I forgot where the level MP data was wrote down, I should of double checked before I wrote, but yeh, variables and a custom menu is the way to go, that should be fairly easy actually, sorry about the confussion. |

Yes, yes it does. getting the desired effect cavemanrick was looking for would be fairly difficult. the number of spells shows in 3 places. stats, spell list, and the spell list in battle. Of course the biggest problem is the spell list in battle. I'm fairly sure it's impossible to edit that as of now.
So best to give up and try something else.
Which cavemanrick did. Good thinking cavemanrick! I look forward to your game. |
