Dimensions 1 |
 |
Graphics: They aren't GREAT but are still nice looking. Not painful to the eyes but, eh still need work.
Music: It's ripped, but credit is given to Bomi Lee so nothing wrong with that. They were kinda good choices but, aah whatever.
Plot: To be honest, I didn't catch much of a plot in the beginning. That and I don't like spoilers. All I will say is it is about Austin and Flogen explaining their childhood. They return and some man has them run an errand for him. Thats as much as you can hear.
Gameplay: Either he wanted weapons to have abilities or he wanted to take away the hold-the-space-bar idea. I really liked these features. A whole new way to level up(in a way..) and greatly designed maps. There are also WALK and RUN items that can change you to run or walk. Don't just use Run the whole way through. That's boring man! Dungeons are well made.. Oh yes I need to go on to something else :D.
Overall: A very well made game. Just about every aspect is better than normal. The major feat of this game seems to be within the gameplay. I had no trouble playing through, but my only problem was that Austin would die every time I started up and I would restart. I got bored of it and let him die. Leaving Flogen to gain 20 levels right off the bat. I think the main problem with this is on the table. If you go one way to a dead end. When you come back you still get that "node(I forget the real name, so i'll go with FFX's name)" activated. Come on! Play it already! It seems as if I wasted my time reviewing this rather than I could have said "try Dimensions 1, It's awesome." DOWNLOAD IT NOW, you won't regret it.
Scores:
Graphics: Graphics really aren't too special. Some were a little bit out of order, but it is hardly noticable | 7.0/10.0 |
Music: Ripped, like in most games, but it fit somewhat well. I believe credit was given and that I appreciate. | 7.0/10.0 |
Storyline: The storyline hasn't really seemed to pick up yet but it has potential. | 6.0/10.0 |
Gameplay: This is a big part of the game. I was expecting something great like in part 3 and 4. Man I was right. It was still a MAJOR turn around. Sure it was easy but we can't help but love the sphere grid, urrm "table" in this game. Very well done. Good job ..again. | 9.5/10.0 |
Overall (Not an average score): Good. Struggles a bit in a few categories. May take a lot of work, but it is curable. Still a good game to have.
