A "Bob the Hamster" flash movie would be really cool.

Well, it's good, but I wouldn't go so far as to say it's the best thing ever.

Hey hey, James.

Well, for starters, the art is good. Has it's own style to it, and I like it. Very "Bob"-ish.

My only complaint, I guess, is with the dialogue/humor. Nothing TOO bad, really, but the first few chapters just seem a bit... off... to me. Like you went for the obvious jokes. But the humor picks up later on in the last couple chapters. Overall, it was clever, but nothing I found really laugh out loud funny.

Also, the dialogue. One line that stuck out to me, "The snow is starting to fall!" Just seems unnatural to me. "The snow is falling!" or "It's starting to snow!" seems much more concise, and gets the same message across in fewer words... which is probably important for a man being eaten by wolves. Happy But, overall, the dialogue was a little.. I dunno... off?

But hey, these are just minor complaints. Well done comic. Happy

Yeah, the humor does start off slow. I am concerned that people will read the first chapter and not bother going on to the lter better ones. Well, if I get inspired with a better beginning episode, I may prefix it to the series and re-number them.

One thing I like to focus on, and one reason my humor will not be for everyone, is the fact that I like to focus on timing. Most cartoonists wouldn't dream of wasting three panels on a full page just to have Bob look left, then center, then right again. I just like drawing things out somtimes, in an attempt to convey a sense of pauses and passage of time not often present in comics.

Anyway. Thanks for the constructive criticism. I hope you enjoy the future chapters more. I have a couple good ones still waiting to be colored.

I think you're a great artist James. I wish I could draw a bit better.

Oooo. We have similar movie interests. An obvious sign of good taste. Wink

But I was thinking, I sit on my legs, too. It drives me brothers nuts. Probably murders my posture, too. Geh...

As far as the comic goes, I was kind of startled by the ladybug interlude. Was it part of the story, or was it just 'there?' Incidentally, ladybugs bite! That many of 'em would probably put Bob in the hospital! But I really enjoyed the comic as a whole -- tell Bob to keep up the good work.

Where the mutton is nice and lean and the tomato is ripe?
