MultiColoredWizard: Yes that can be something that can catch someone's eye. It shows what you have to do, how challenging that sort of thing. That is what people look for. _________________ Kweh! |

Moonbuggie: Yes agreed. That was a good win-win solution to this problem, to suppot both sides of the case. _________________ Kweh! |

I'd like to say one last thing: You are misinterpreting the use of reviews, Chocobo. They tell you about the game to tell you if they are worth downloading or not. They are not for personal use, which is why they are put up, to tell someone if the game is good enough to download or not. No one would write a review just for themself and show no one (except for practice) because it's just pointless. _________________ Preserve OHR history! Do it for the children! |

Sure, that's got to be it. Just tell me what YOU think reviews are for, if not to review? _________________ Preserve OHR history! Do it for the children! |

There is no point to this arguement. An agreement has already been made. The subject is closed to debate. Don't be so stubborn. _________________ Kweh! |

Time to steer this topic in a different direction.
I've been contemplating this whole FAQ/Walkthrough section. But how would we lay it out? GameFAQ style? And how do we handle submissions? Reviews were easy to handle, they all follow the same layout. But I can't make a form for writing a walkthrough. We've gotta figure out the best way to handle submissions and whatnot.
Any ideas? _________________

Probably the simplest thing to do would be to copy gamefaqs and just link to a text file or a webpage. |

Although some more features could be made, such as an option for a visible table with boss data in it, there could be first an entry field for the Title of the walkthrough, then an Introduction, and then multiple entry fields for the name of an area or section, with an entry field after each for data, allowing the walkthrough to be split up by area (as walkthroughs generally are). The entry names for areas could also appear near the top as links allowing you to jump down to the correct area. If someone wanted a section like 'SideQuests' they could also just enter that as an area name at the end with sidequest data after it, still seperating it from the rest of the walkthrough. Of course, there are ways that would look better, but this would probably be the simplest way to do one. _________________ Preserve OHR history! Do it for the children! |

If there were sections other than "Walkthrough", then it's an FAQ/Walkthrough. |

Keeping on topic, I don't think a form would be the best way to submit walkthroughs. It would probably require more work, but I think it would be better if they were just e-mailed in (this could just be that I'm old-fashioned in an untraditional sort of way). |

Most people make their FAQ/Walkthroughs in what? Notepad or something like that? You'll be cutting and pasting anyway, so you might as well have one form to submit. That's how IGN does it anyway, and it works well. |

A good site that can give examples for FAQS/ Walkthroughs is gamefaqs.com _________________ Kweh! |
