I'd like to see a little 'poll' on reviews where you can rank the quality of the review. A display of the review's average ranking would be nice as well. I got this idea from GameFAQs, oddly enough; it justs seems like a great idea to me. |

Some people like a game and some people dont like a game. A poll on a review would be cool, but a review on a review is like critsizing critisizim, kind of a dumb thing to do. _________________ A man once said to the Universe "Sir! I exist!"

No, it offers a percentage of people who agree with what the reviewer is saying. It helps the potential player almost as much as the review itself. |

Why is critisizing critisism inherently bad? I mean, criticism can suck too, right? JSH's idea sounds good to me. |

Assuming IM ever gets enough time to get started on the site redesign, this will be added, along with the ability to rate other people's posts(and when enough people thumb down a post it stands a good chance of being automatically deleted), games, even avatars.
Haha, actually, if you guys REALLY want a feature, you should just bombard Inferior Minion with PMs. |

Hahah, brilliant course of action, CN.
Would implementing these updates mean that the entire present contents of the forums would be lost? _________________ "It is so great it is insanely great." |

Jjkaybomb...I'd say it's not rating someone's criticism as much as it stating how much you agree with the review. You take a game like FFH, for instance (just has the most reviews and not all are the same grade), and look at the reviews: an A+, an A, 2 C+, and a D. And all the reviews are very well written, pointing out the reasons for the grade they gave it. However, the reviews don't agree...good gameplay...horrid gameplay...excellent gameplay...above average...mediocre.....what is a reader who hasn't played the game to do?
With a review poll...the reader can see how many others agreed or disagreed with a review. It won't be "This is a well written review, I give it 5 points" it'll be "On a scale of 0 to 5 where 5 means I agree with every aspect of this review (or whatever number scheme we work out), I give it a 2"...I'd really like to make it so you can rate each part of the review...."I completely agree with the gameplay section/score".....maybe even add a comments section to each review. But with work and school...I've had less and less time to sit down and work on CP. I really need some free time to plan things out and get working again, which brings me to TMC's question.
I have every intention of keeping CP's database as is and expanding on the current data. I still have to go through phpBB's code and figure out how the forum's search database is created so I can fix that error from transfering servers. _________________
