Time for voting!
Sephyroth's Entry
Sephy, in his explanation, wrote: | What I felt from the picture: Ardor and chaos. I mean, there's fire in the background. How could you NOT feel ardor? Everything in the picture is whacked out of proportion (except maybe that tower in the back). How could you NOT see chaos? I figured the closest thing that combined ardor with chaos was a warlike attack theme, so that's what I tried to compose. |
Jabbercat's Entry
Jabber, in IRC, wrote: | What I got from the pic is the serenty of the chair, and that it didn't seem to be bothered about the destruction around it (if it had a mind that is ). |
LeRoy Leo's Entry
LeRoy, via PM, wrote: | The surroundings in the picture are like hell on Earth. Searing dust takes the place of breathable wind and fires are carried on the wind. Yet, there is some peace to this desolation. This place where nothing can exist except for ghosts and memories... That wasn't very good, but it maybe set the mood. |
Have at it, CP members!

Also, I am authorizing SDHawk to post his entry in this thread, since it is on the day of the deadline, and I don't have time to stick around and post it. _________________

Sorry for the late entry, I forgot the contest until today and er...threw together this in 2hrs.
"From the land of shadows, in the very depths of the darkness arises from the towers beyond... a single chair. Like a dagger slicing through a man's heart, so the chair slices through the night, engulfing the darkness in its whiteness."

I think Setu forgot about it...he had been having trouble downloading it even though he could play it. Here it is:

My vote goes to Leroy. - I liked the sense of chord structure you had throughout. Not perfect, but it got the job done. btw, no cadence??? (I assume it's supposed to loop. )
A tie for close second between Sephy and Calehay. Calehay, awesome... I just wasn't fond of the instrumentation. Sephy, Not too shabby, but I just didn't "agree" with it, ya know?
Ok, enough ranting. Chalk one up for Leroy. |

I agree. It is very hard to decide between Calehay and Sephy. But I sort of like way Cale composed his more. reminds me of Kirby.
Although Sephy did a superb job on the percussion.
Good job both, but my vote goes to Calehay _________________ Planning Project Blood Summons, an MMORPG which will incinerate all of the others with it's sheer brilliance...

This is my third time posting this message. Every time I submit, it kicks me off.
I said:
In the picture, I saw an idea of the lower class versus the upper class. See the chair and the "mansion" behind it that casts a human shadow. It, to me, represents the shadow that the upper class projects on others. However, whenever this issue comes up, they don't react to it. They try to push it out of the way, but it keeps coming back.
I'm sure you can easily tell which theme is the theme of the lower class.
I vote for Sephy, even though he misued the timpani pretty badly. Of course, it's possible, but with great difficulty. _________________ Calehay |

My vote goes to Leo.
I liked calehay's a lot, but it sort of blasted me at times. Seph's was done very well, but I guess it didn't fit the picture as I saw it. Hawk, it was a little weird, and though it fit the picture in that way, not enough was going on, I think; still great job,
and great job to everyboy _________________ SACRE BLEU!

It worked out in the end, Setu. I just hope we get a couple more votes, if not one more vote, before the contest is over. The results are pretty much game-set-match unless we get a flood of votes in 24 hours. And this contests voting has been pretty uneventful... _________________ Planning Project Blood Summons, an MMORPG which will incinerate all of the others with it's sheer brilliance...

BWAHAHAHAHA!!! It's too late, Leroy!
I've posted the above message in 10000 different message boards. If that doesn't make the difference in this contest, I'll simply be indignant. _________________ im realy ded |
