To Unc: Really. First of all, my 'suspicions' about him are obviously shared widely. Regardless of that, my suspicions were what started that whole ordeal, and I took the rap for voicing a community concern. its not expensive to host a web site here in new zealand its only like $5
thats $2.50 us.

Sure...cheap if you want to pay a hosting service for limited space, limited features, limited bandwidth, and limited flexibility.

Running the server out of your house is quite different.

Either case, it's about $8 to purchase a domain name for a year.

You need to find an ISP that doesn't block ports and doesn't explicitly state that you can't host a server in the Terms of Use (this was the hardest part for me).

Although I've heard you can use no-ip programs to get the domain name linked to your dynamic IP, I went with the Static IP plans and get a download/upload speed of 1500 / 384 Kbps for $50 a month.
