BTW, when you edit your post after someone's reply, you can't assume they know you did so.

This has been freaking fixed. I've said so already in this topic. I'll say it again:
Stuck midi notes are fixed for Tirgoviste

Ahem. I'll look into the backdrop issue again, but I'm sure I fixed it. _________________ I stand corrected. No rivers ran blood today. At least, none that were caused by us.

Uh-oh. It's worse than I thought.
Muting isn't the cause of spells being greyed out, apparently. For some reason, seemingly random spells are being greyed out for me.
I have no clue what's causing this at all. Some spells can be used, some are completely greyed out. (This is in both versions of game.exe)
Also, the windows game.exe crashes after every battle for me. DOS version is fine in that respect. |

The experience and items but was fixed last night in the WIP version, but we have not re-re-released serendipity.
If you want to test the fix, download ... oh... er... I was going to say download http://hamsterrepublic.com/ohrrpgce/archive/ohrrpgce-binary-win-nightly.zip but it looks like that has not been automatically built since thursday, which means the laptop that autobuilds the Windows WIP version must have crashed :(
I will not be able to fix it until I got back to work on monday... lemme see if I can manually build a wip version... Okay, NOW you can download http://hamsterrepublic.com/ohrrpgce/archive/ohrrpgce-binary-win-nightly.zip and test the fix for the items and experience bug. |

Oh, by the way, I've set up my computer to generate the nightlies as well. I've added links to the download page as "Mirror"s. Now you're twice as likely to be able to find a nightly! _________________ I stand corrected. No rivers ran blood today. At least, none that were caused by us.

I don't mean to put extra work on you guys, but I'd very much like to see percentage-based attacks be affected by elements, etc., for the new Serendipity. I ask because one of the developers (I think it was Mike Caron) made it sound like all that had to be done was basically copying and pasting a bit of damage calculating code. If there's more to it than that don't worry about it.
I hope you guys can get this all worked out soon. Good luck! If there is anything that a person with no internet at home (and no programming knowledge) can do to help, let me know. |

WHAT?! Percentage based attacks being affected by elements, randomness and all the other privleges that the other types of attacks get? If I did that, you might ask for something else, and I would have no choice but to do that, and then you'd ask for something else, and THEN what would we have?
Besides, do you know how difficult it is to cut the block of code that does percentages, and move it up a few lines?! Jeez, what do I look like, a surgeon?
Pffffft.
Editors Note: Mike has been working with the code that controlls animation in battle, and has gone certifiably insane. This is proven by the fact that he is now writing this paragraph, and in the third person. _________________ I stand corrected. No rivers ran blood today. At least, none that were caused by us.

If we add support for elementals affecting percentage damage, it would probably be best to make it something that you have to turn on with a bitset. |

My Documents is a special folder in Windows. To find it, you have to go to C:\Documents and Settings\<your Windows username>\My Documents\ _________________

If you're running XP (I'm not sure about any of the more recent ones that are older, unless you want to know about 3.1)
1. Open My Computer.
2. Look to see your username with the word Document's attached to it. Or, look for a folder that says My Documents.
3. If you cannot find that, enter Local Disk C:
4. Open the Folder Documents and Settings.
5. Open the Folder with your name.
6. Look for the folder, My Documents.
Voila! You have found your documents. Of course, if you have it, you can also open the My Documents button from the Start Menu as well. _________________ Calehay |
